You still care deeply about taste, feel, motion, and craft. But you also go further down the stack: data models, APIs, performance, reliability, and the messy systems work needed to ship great product. You are also extremely comfortable with AI tooling. You use it daily (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to explore solutions, generate and refine code, debug faster, and ship at a pace that would be hard to match otherwise. What you’ll do - Build features end-to-end: product thinking → implementation → launch → iteration. - Partner tightly with design and engineering to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped product in days, not weeks. - Own UI craft and the underlying technical decisions that make experiences fast, reliable, and scalable. - Shape how we build: patterns, primitives, component quality, testing, and internal tooling. - Use AI tools as a multiplier. You prompt well, iterate quickly, and maintain a high quality bar. - Communicate directly and clearly. No corporate padding.

• Working on the eCommerce Software Team across all areas of our global eCommerce infrastructure: frontend, backend, connected device application integrations, enterprise application integrations, third-party logistics integrations, access controls & regulatory compliance, and any other supported infrastructure • Accountable for development and release to production for all assigned work • Accountable for investigation and resolution of production issues in a timely manner • Attend regular team meeting cadences to communicate and drive clarity on assigned work and team planning • Build expertise in Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, and NextJS as needed to be a productive member of the team • Collaborate with development lead, fellow software engineers, and product managers to deliver assigned work and shaping our future roadmap

• Architecture, design and develop external and internal experiences for our products, especially our Shopify Application • Take ownership, research and deliver world class experiences • Build integrations with external APIs, connectors and API clients • Help define engineering best practices and processes • Work closely with the rest of the R&D team to deliver the tools they need to develop next-generation products
