Job Description

Senior Director, Flexible Living

Greystar

• Set the vision and strategic direction for Greystar’s Flexible Living strategy • Personally engage with Greystar Operators and clients to adopt and drive success in partnerships, including the onboarding of new client relationships and maintaining and growing existing relationships • Collaborate with partners and industry participants to understand industry trends, opportunities and challenges • Collaborate with Greystar team members to develop and syndicate Flexible Living strategies which are supportive to meeting Greystar business goals. • Own Flexible Living performance metrics and use analytics to drive decisions and continuous improvement. • Leverage partner and Greystar data to develop strategy and drive focused execution and growth • Direct the development of performance dashboards, market intelligence, and actionable reporting to inform stakeholders and drive ROI-positive strategies. • Partner with revenue and finance teams to evaluate marketing efficiency, cost controls, and optimization strategies. • Collaborate and influence a high-impact team across multiple functional areas • Consistently evaluate the Flexible Living team to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of resources • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that promotes continuous learning, innovation, and Greystar’s core values. • Champion innovation in Flexible Living across US Property Management • Ensure the integrity, consistency, and relevance of the Greystar brand across all client and resident touchpoints • Lead the Flexible Living approach for high-profile asset engagement, ensuring strong collaboration between marketing, development, and operations. • Act as a senior Flexible Living expert for internal and external stakeholders, including institutional partners, property owners, and joint venture teams. • Present strategic Flexible Living plans, portfolio performance, and competitive market analysis in partnership meetings and executive reviews. • Collaborate with Resident Hosting, Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Digital Experience teams to scale best practices and ensure alignment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Flexible Living leadership, including portfolio or regional oversight within real estate, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing performance-driven strategies in a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional senior leaders and external partners.
  • Expertise in Flexible Living, Partner Marketing, team development, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate data into insights and strategy.
  • Travel Requirements Approx. 30–40% travel to communities, regional offices, leadership meetings, and partner presentations.
