• As an Engineering Manager for Card Market Expansion, you will lead the engineering effort to launch and sustain Reap's card programs across new markets in NA, EMEA, and LATAM • You'll own the end-to-end engineering delivery for market entry: from local regulatory integration and processor configuration, to coordinating cross-team dependencies (Treasury, Onboarding, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Data Warehouse), to ensuring stable, supported operations after go-live • This is a high-ownership, hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of product delivery, compliance requirements, and cross-functional engineering • You'll guide engineering strategy, participate in technical design, and be instrumental in shaping how Reap scales its card issuing infrastructure across multiple regulatory environments • Own the engineering workstream for card program compliance across NA, EMEA, and LATAM markets — including local Visa/Mastercard network rules, BIN sponsor obligations, open banking requirements, and regional regulatory frameworks • Integrate with local vendors, issuer processors, and BIN sponsor systems to meet market-specific technical requirements • Drive sequenced delivery across all dependent teams: Card Platform, Treasury/Ledger, Onboarding/KYC-KYB, Regulatory Reporting, Chargeback/Disputes, Infrastructure, Data Warehouse, and Security Governance • Establish on-call runbooks, incident response playbooks, and SLAs for each live market

Role Description We are looking for a Head of Engineering for the Marketplace and Payments areas at Treatwell. In this role, you will lead and grow multiple cross-functional Product Engineering teams within Marketplace and Payments, working closely with Product and Design to build experiences that connect customers and venues at scale. You set clear directions and enable teams to operate with strong ownership, autonomy, and pace. You ensure alignment across Marketplace and Payments and consistency in engineering practices, while keeping decisions close to the work and actively removing friction. You will be responsible for: - Drive Marketplace and Payments alignment & outcomes: - Co-own and drive outcomes with the Head of Product, setting clear, outcome-focused goals. - Support teams in exploring the problem space, applying engineering judgment to shape pragmatic solutions. - Slicing thin and making timely decisions that shorten feedback loops, improve speed to market, strengthen customer and venue value, and deliver measurable business impact. - Technical direction & scaling practices: - Set the technical direction for the Marketplace and Payments areas together with architects and engineers. - Use guilds as the primary mechanism to shape and scale technical direction and practices. - Drive consistency across Marketplace and Payments teams and alignment with other areas through shared principles, guardrails and learning. - Develop strong leaders and teams: - Deliberately grow engineering managers and senior individual contributors within Marketplace and Payments. - Ensure teams are planned and staffed with the right skills to deliver effectively today and as the area's needs evolve. - Own hiring, succession planning and talent development for the area. - Improve developer experience and enable delivery: - Remove organisational and technical barriers that slow Marketplace and Payments teams down. - Partner closely with Platform to evolve shared foundations for CI/CD, observability and operational excellence. - Drive responsible use of AI tooling to increase productivity and shorten feedback loops. - Inclusive Product Engineering culture: - Champion inclusivity, transparency and continuous improvement across Product, Design and Engineering. - Reinforce shared values and ways of working, ensuring consistency across Product Engineering. - Strategic thinking and focus: - Support teams in focusing on Now, shaping Next and setting clear ambition for Later within their domains. - Work closely with executive sponsors on company objectives to translate strategy into clear, area-level priorities. - Product Engineering as part of the company: - Build strong, trust-based collaboration across Treatwell. - Work closely with Commercial, Customer Support and Group Functions to shape priorities together.
