Senior Appian Developer – Support
KBR, Inc.
• Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications to automate and optimize business processes • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure system stability and performance • Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions within Appian • Create and configure Appian process models, interfaces, and integrations to deliver efficient workflows and user experiences • Partner with IT and development teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately and align with organizational objectives • Use Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for task tracking, version control, and communication across teams • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides, to support application development and maintenance • Participate in testing and validation of new features and fixes to ensure high-quality deliverables • Identify opportunities to enhance existing applications and contribute to best practices for Appian development • Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and maintain flexibility in development cycles • Ensure compliance with data security standards and adopt best practices for secure application development
Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in Appian development, or a High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in Appian development in lieu of degree
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the Appian low-code platform, including process models, interfaces, and integrations
- Ability to meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Appian solutions using Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in Appian application configuration, Appian Designer, and related tools; ability to generate reports and dashboards within Appian
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for managing tasks, version control, and communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate application changes, release schedules, and technical details to stakeholders
