Senior Recruiter, Sales – APJ

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and hiring teams to build effective recruiting strategies for APAC Sales hiring. • Manage full lifecycle recruiting across roles in Sales, acting as the APAC hiring Subject Matter Expert. • Build a balanced candidate source mix across passive, active, and referral channels. • Develop and post accurate job descriptions that attract qualified candidates. • Use talent market insights and research to shape sourcing plans and inform hiring decisions. • Partner closely with external recruitment agencies across different APAC countries to align on role requirements, candidate quality, and hiring progress. • Use data from the applicant tracking system, candidate feedback, and recruiting metrics to manage pipelines and recommend course corrections. • Create a thoughtful and timely candidate experience through clear communication and strong process management. • Lead weekly hiring team meetings for the region, discussing metrics such as time to fill, conversion rates, and scorecard data. • Partner closely with the Candidate Experience team to drive efficient interview processes and timely scheduling for our hiring teams and candidates, as well as the region’s Sourcer to build proactive hiring benches. • Contribute to continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition processes and share recruiting best practices with the team. • Promote GitLab's values and culture in candidate conversations and external-facing interactions.

Job Requirements

  • Experience recruiting high performing Sales talent, with strength in building diverse candidate pipelines through creative sourcing approaches.
  • Proven success hiring across multiple countries in APAC, including markets such as Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and India.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced software as a service environment and hiring strong sales talent, including passive candidates.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with hiring managers, partners, and agency recruiters across multiple time zones.
  • Strong judgment in managing competing priorities, staying organized, and delivering results under deadlines.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system, ideally Greenhouse, along with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for candidates, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • A candidate-first mindset and a strong focus on delivering a high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
  • Willingness to learn and use tools such as Git and GitLab.
  • Remote working experience in a public technology company is helpful.
