Role Description This position will support our Lab Products & Services division. As a User Experience Designer at Sartorius, you will have the opportunity to craft the online experience for both existing and prospective customers seeking laboratory products and services that support their scientific research and applications. Collaborate with a talented team of digital marketing professionals to enhance and optimize the buying journey for thousands of website visitors dedicated to answering the world's most challenging scientific and medical questions. Remote base role. What you will accomplish together with us: - Collaborate closely with marketing campaign and product managers to turn product and application content into high-performing web pages. - Craft and maintain an outstanding user experience throughout campaign web areas utilizing your expertise in web UX web principles and best practices. - Monitor web performance by user behavior data and translate insights into actionable tasks. - Own individual web goals and provide creative solutions as needed. - Solicit and translate stakeholder feedback into best-in-class solutions. - Creatively troubleshoot issues by leveraging web tools, colleagues, and incident ticketing system. - Design and create new web page templates and tools using research, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, etc. - Clearly communicate and defend design thinking using gathered data and knowledge. - Utilize Asana project management software to track, update, and complete assigned tasks. - Closely collaborate with the Digital Customer Experience team to submit and test new website feature requests. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in interaction design, computer science and/or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years' experience building and managing web content using a web content management system (WCMS). - 1+ year experience using analytics tools such as GA4 and Hotjar to monitor web performance. - Strong portfolio demonstrating the use of design principles and best practices such as layout balance, visual hierarchy, and presenting the right information at the right time. - Demonstrable experience using UX/UI tools such as discovery research, sketches, wireframes, and hi-fidelity mockups (bonus for prototyping experience). - Basic experience implementing on-page SEO best practices. Requirements - Demonstrable experience using one or more UX Design applications like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer, or similar. - Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. - Familiar with HTML & CSS. - Well-versed in communicating with stakeholders from different functions and with varying levels of background knowledge. - Comfortable presenting design thinking & rationale to team members and stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Identification with our core values: Sustainability, Openness, Enjoyment. The checking position we are seeking to fill will be assigned to work in the Austin, Texas area full-time on-site with the potential of transitioning to ~50% hybrid. Basic Job Function: Ensure engineering product definition (drawings, associated design models, Bills of material, etc.) meets all contract and company requirements before releasing to production control. Provide support on our countermeasures-based products and other challenging technologies. You will be part of a Design & Drafting Community working with the latest CAD Technology and Processes who are always forward planning with Industry professionals to define future of CAD and product definition capabilities as well as its support of Digital Engineering via 3D Model Based Definition. You also will advance your technical skills while performing your assigned responsibilities on development projects and supporting our existing product portfolio. The individual selected for this position will be an experienced Mechanical Design Drafting Checker who is a problem solver with diverse technical capabilities, sound design and drafting checking skills, and geometrical tolerance fundamentals. The requirements assigned to this position, while under the guidance of Program and Engineering Leadership, include the following: - Capable of reviewing engineering data in CREO Parametric (Pro/E). - Proficient reading and understanding Engineering Drawings and Bills of Material. - Experienced dimensioning and tolerancing IAW ASME Y14.5. - Experienced with drawing types IAW ASME Y14.24. - Experienced with drawing practices IAW ASME Y14.100. - Able to review and evaluate tolerance analysis. - Able to professionally provide feedback and recommendations on drawing and design improvements. - Familiar working with a formal Product Lifecycle Data Management System (PLMS) - Able to collaborate with Drafters, Designers, Engineers, Manufacturers and Suppliers. - Work on SAP/SAR or similar closed programs on-site in secure areas when/if needed. - Effective Communicator, both verbally and written.
