Role Description A regional energy solutions provider is seeking a Sales Engineer to lead business development and project acquisition for generator and power solutions in the Philippines. This is a high-autonomy, individual contributor role operating under a regional (Southeast Asia) structure, with full responsibility for market development, distributor expansion, and customer engagement. The role is best suited for a hunter-type profile with strong exposure to industrial equipment, power systems, or generator solutions, and the ability to operate in a remote, unstructured environment. Key Responsibilities - Business Development & Market Expansion - Drive new business acquisition across the Philippines - Identify and develop opportunities in: - Data centers - Commercial and industrial sectors - Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and project funnel - Distributor / Channel Development - Identify, appoint, and manage local distributors and partners - Build long-term channel relationships to expand market reach - Support partners in technical discussions, proposals, and deal closure - Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Support - Engage directly with customers to: - Understand project requirements - Gather technical specifications - Translate customer needs into clear, actionable inputs for internal engineering and proposal teams - Support bidding, quotations, and solution alignment - Project & Bid Coordination - Manage the pre-sales lifecycle: - Inquiry qualification - Proposal submission - Coordinate closely with regional teams on: - Technical validation - Pricing and commercial structuring - Ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals - Customer & After-Sales Coordination - Serve as the POC for customers in the Philippines - Support post-sales coordination with regional teams to ensure customer satisfaction Working Setup - Remote / Work-from-home - Close collaboration with regional (Southeast Asia) office - Travel required: - Local client visits - Regional travel Qualifications - Degree or background in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field - Minimum 5+ years experience in sales of industrial equipment or power solutions - Strong preference for candidates with exposure to: - Generators / power generation systems - Project-based or solution sales environments - Experience working with: - Distributors / channel partners - Contractors, consultants, or EPCs Key Competencies - Strong hunter mindset with proven business development capability - Ability to operate independently in a remote/regional structure - Solid technical-commercial understanding (able to translate customer requirements into solutions) - Effective stakeholder management across: - Customers - Distributors - Internal regional teams - Strong communication and negotiation skills
