Role Description Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions. - Work with Roadtex Terminals and Warehouse Services on ensuring proper OS&D procedures are followed to mitigate claims exposure. - Work closely with operations, customer service, service partners and shippers to bring resolution to lost or damaged freight. - Conduct thorough investigations of shortages, including gathering evidence, documentation of results, and communication. - Manage the disposition process for “On-Hand” shipments and “Refusals”. Complete all necessary paperwork and system updates within Roadvision. - Proactively communicate issues and work to resolve within the team. - Manage relationships within assigned accounts. - Perform routine duties with minimal supervision following standard practices or procedures. - Gain competency and adopt Roadtex/Echo's technology to be as efficient as possible. - Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve department and company goals. Qualifications - High school diploma required; 2-year community college or vocational degree highly preferred. - 1+ years' experience in customer service or logistics. - Proven track record in handling multiple tasks and problem solving when handling difficult customer issues. - Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel. - Ability to follow standard operating procedures with little to no oversight. - Clear, concise communication skills both written and verbal to effectively assist external and internal customers. - Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and able to collaborate with others.
