• Drive the product strategy and roadmap by continuously discovering customer and competitive market dynamics • Take ownership of empathizing with the customer needs (and desires) and drive the outcomes with a close partnership with the cross-functional teams • Advocate for customers by simplifying the access experience with a close partnership with UX Leads, architects, and product teams

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience directing strategy and execution of SaaS, Enterprise or security products
  • Ability to untangle the interconnectedness of the complex authentication mess and simplify the same to drive the cross-functional team in the same direction
  • Passion for simplifying the authentication experience for customers and partners
  • Experience with identity protocols (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering preferred but not required. MBA is a plus.

Role Description The Senior Manager, Product Designer sets the benchmark for creating rigorous research-backed, end-to-end product experiences for customers that are easy to use, employ best-in-class design practices, and are based firmly in customer needs and business goals. - Chief collaborators with business, technical, and product leaders to understand vision, objectives, and transformation plans. - Hands-on planning and executing core activities such as research, synthesis, and design execution. - Leading a team of product designers to achieve exceptional customer-centered outcomes. - Work with product, business, and technology teams to define, scope, and manage the end-to-end product experience. - Manage design team activities from research and ideation through to execution, ensuring consistent high-quality outcomes. - Guide UX designers on design strategy related to research and insights generation, executing high-quality UX artifacts. - Guide UI designers on executing best-in-class visual design work that is consistent, on-brand, and user-backed. - Work with front-end developers to ensure successful implementation of visual design and product interaction. - Mentor and coach design teams, specifically with new ways of working and mapping strategy to execution. - Identify and remove team impediments. - Work with CPO and POs to align the roadmap to vision and continuous insights to ensure the voice of the customer is heard. - Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing solutions, not afraid to challenge the status quo. - Attend events and sessions, promoting customer focus, and being visible at town hall events. - Synchronize customer research and map customer journeys for constituents across teams. - Synthesize customer insights across research by each team at the journey level. - Help define and shape the experience strategy, facilitating work sessions with stakeholders and users to define key design goals and requirements. - Ability to plan, direct, and deliver clear research processes and artifacts (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, usability testing, task flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design systems to guide consistency across teams). - Can make design decisions at a team and product level. - Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units. - Significant experience driving design outcomes in an Agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies. - Seasoned design expertise with deep insight into newest methods, trends, and design operations. - Experience in Agile Development as a product designer, including tools such as Jira and Confluence. - Experience managing design priorities within the backlog. - Understands the relationship between Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the rest of the team, with a strong sense of design thinking. - Strong communication skills with the ability to align the organization on complex product decisions while advocating the voice of the customer. - Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team’s potential.
