Sr. CL Transaction Specialist

Role Description The Sr. Commercial Lending (CL) Transaction Specialist provides strategic and operational leadership for the entire loan processing team. This role oversees daily operations, sets performance standards, and ensures that all transactions are executed efficiently and in full compliance with company policies and federal regulations. The CL Transaction Specialist collaborates with senior leadership to implement process improvements, resolves escalated issues, manages staffing and scheduling, and drives overall team performance and development. - Prepare, review, and manage all commercial loan documentation—including both in-house document sets and those prepared by counsel—to ensure adherence to company policies and federal regulations. Address and remediate audit findings as needed. - Serve as a key liaison with internal teams (Sales, Underwriting, Operations) and external stakeholders (Legal Counsel, Title, Escrow, Vendors, Insurance Companies) to ensure smooth transaction flow and timely updates regarding loan status. - Accurately enter and maintain loan data in core processing systems (nCino, Salesforce, Jack Henry) to effectively manage pipelines, workflow, and funding deadlines. - Contribute to ongoing process enhancement initiatives and, when applicable, assist in training and guiding team members to improve overall operational efficiency. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all funding conditions are met, documentation is complete, and funds are disbursed in a timely and accurate manner. - Execute day-to-day loan processing tasks, ensuring each stage of the transaction is completed accurately and efficiently. Monitor workflow status, address bottlenecks, and maintain processing standards throughout the loan lifecycle. - Request, collect, and verify due diligence items from customers, brokers, and third parties, ensuring all necessary information is obtained to support efficient loan origination and processing. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lending operations (processing, closing, servicing, or transaction management). - Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation (C&I, CRE, Construction, Asset-based, and Specialty Lending). - Familiarity with collateral perfection, UCC filings, insurance requirements, escrow instructions, and loan boarding requirements. - Ability to interpret credit memos, approval conditions, financial covenants, and legal documents. - High accuracy and organizational strength in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. - Strong communication skills and comfort working cross‑functionally. - Experience with nCino or similar loan origination systems preferred.
