Our world-class culture is shaped by dedicated Team Members who share a drive to succeed as professionals and together as a company. A great product, amazing people and our stable financial history have made us one of the largest used car finance companies nationally. Our Support teams work with multiple departments in a dynamic environment that promotes flexibility and autonomy, while offering the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.  We work to comply with our company standards, exceed customer expectations and drive our Great Place to Work culture.  Through the consistent delivery of quality services and understanding the needs of our business, we develop innovative improvements as we strive towards our company’s Big, Hairy, Audacious Goals! We are looking for a highly analytical, execution-oriented Business Strategy Analyst to work as an individual contributor on some of the most important growth and go-to-market questions facing our auto lending business. This role is designed for a seasoned strategist who prefers hands-on problem solving and critical thinking over team management, and who can independently take ambiguous business questions from definition through analysis to executive-ready, data-driven recommendations. You will partner closely with leaders across Marketing, Sales, Product, Analytics (Underwriting/Pricing), and Finance, contributing rigorous analysis and structured thinking to shape go-to-market (GTM) strategy, growth initiatives, and strategic planning. While this is not a people-manager role, it has high visibility and impact, with regular interaction with Director- and VP-level stakeholders. This is not a role focused on passively pulling data or waiting for predefined order tickets. Success in this role requires proactive problem framing, hypothesis-driven analysis, and independent judgment—using data as a tool to answer why and what should we do, not just what happened. Outcomes and Activities: - This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to our Southfield, Michigan office may be required.  However, this position is permitted to work at our Southfield, Michigan office if requested by the team member. - Independently lead strategic analyses that inform business and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, including product launches, customer segmentation, channel strategy, and market expansion. - Translate ambiguous business questions into structured problem statements, hypotheses, and analytical workplans—without relying on detailed instructions. - Build and maintain financial, strategic, and scenario models to evaluate new opportunities, risks, and trade-offs. - Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover insights related to customer behavior, portfolio performance, channel effectiveness, and growth opportunities. - Partner with cross-functional teams to shape the direction of analysis, not just execute predefined requests. - Develop clear, insight-rich recommendations that are grounded in data, commercial judgment, and business impact. - Create consulting-style, executive-quality PowerPoint presentations that use data-driven storytelling to influence decisions and align stakeholders. - Define success metrics and KPIs for strategic initiatives and support ongoing performance tracking. - Contribute meaningfully to quarterly and annual strategic planning cycles. - Act as a trusted thought partner to senior stakeholders, bringing a strong point of view supported by analysis. Knowledge and Skills: - Strong command of strategy and problem-solving frameworks, critical thinking, competitive analysis, and business case development. - Advanced data analysis and modeling skills, with the ability to work independently end-to-end—from data exploration to insight synthesis. - Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Power BI, to explore data, build views, and communicate insights. - High fluency in data environments and tools such as SQL, Python, SAS/R, Snowflake, and Excel. - Experience working with large datasets and de-averaging portfolio-level metrics to identify segment-level opportunities (e.g., by customer behavior, product usage, channel, or geography). - Ability to design and interpret dashboards and data visualizations for senior audiences, while knowing when deeper analysis is required beyond dashboards. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive storytelling and structured slide development. - Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias for action, intellectual curiosity, and urgency. - Strong business judgment and pragmatic decision-making mindset. - Proven ability to influence without authority in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - 3-6 years of relevant experience in: - Top-tier or strong management consulting firms, or - Internal strategy, analytics, or GTM roles at a high-performance company (e.g., financial services, fintech, consumer lending, technology). - Demonstrated experience owning strategy or analytics workstreams independently, from problem definition through delivery. - Hands-on experience using SQL and Python for data analysis (not just conceptual familiarity). - Practical experience using BI tools such as Power BI as part of an overall analytical workflow. - Experience working directly with senior stakeholders (Director / VP level). - Strong presentation and executive communication experience, particularly in data-driven, consulting-style PPTs. Preferred: - Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, economics, engineering, or quantitative field or equivalent experience. - Experience in auto finance, fintech, consumer lending, or adjacent industries. - Exposure to GTM-related domains such as: - Customer or dealer segmentation - Channel strategy or optimization - Sales enablement - Pricing or promotion strategy - Growth or market-entry strategy - Familiarity with Databricks or similar big data / analytics platforms used for large-scale data processing and analysis. Targeted Compensation: $103,000 - $120,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders. #LI-Remote #zip Benefits - Excellent benefits package that includes 401(K) match, adoption assistance, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive medical/ dental/vision and many nonstandard benefits that make us a Great Place to Work  Our Company Values: To be successful in this role, Team Members need to be: - Positive by maintaining resiliency and focusing on solutions - Respectful by collaborating and actively listening - Insightful by cultivating innovation, accumulating business and role specific knowledge, demonstrating self-awareness and making quality decisions - Direct by effectively communicating and conveying courage - Earnest by taking accountability, applying feedback and effectively planning and priority setting Expectations: - Remain compliant with our policies processes and legal guidelines - All other duties as assigned - Attendance as required by department  Advice!
