• Contribute to the design and documentation of building services electrical systems including lighting and controls, general and specialist power, main switchboards, distribution systems, earthing and lightning protection, emergency and exit lighting, and essential services systems. • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and schedules in accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements. • Support the delivery of coordinated, multi-disciplinary design solutions across mechanical, hydraulic, fire and structural teams. • Assist with design reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, NCC requirements and authority regulations. • Participate, with supervision, in client meetings and provide technical input during design development. • Undertake site inspections and support construction-phase services.

• Deliver high‑quality field service support for medium‑ and high‑voltage (MV/HV) electrical systems, ensuring all work meets GEV’s standards for EHS, quality, and on‑time delivery. • Carry out testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance using MV/HV electrical test equipment, applying sound engineering judgement and recognised industry practices. • Develop and continuously expand your technical expertise, staying current with evolving technologies, standards, and best practices across power conversion, drives, motors, and control systems. • Prepare and complete all required documentation, including safety plans, risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, technical reports, material requisitions, customer updates, timesheets, and travel & living expenses. • Act as a trusted technical representative on customer sites, building strong relationships, understanding operational needs, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout service delivery. • Collaborate with engineering, project, and commercial teams to support issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of service processes and product performance. • Mobilise internationally at short notice, supporting customers primarily across the UK, Africa, and the Middle East while operating from a home‑based location.

Role Description As a Project Electrical Engineer at Envista Forensics, you will play a crucial role in conducting forensic investigations related to electrical incidents and failures. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and experts to determine origin and root causes of accidents, equipment malfunctions, product defects, and other mechanical failure related issues. Your findings will be essential in helping our clients make informed decisions and resolving complex legal and insurance matters. - Investigate electrical failures, defects, or damage in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. - Determine causes of electrical system failures and assess design/construction quality or maintenance procedures. - Lead field investigations and document property damage for multi-party examinations. - Collaborate on large, complex projects within multi-disciplinary teams. - Research failure modes and provide repair or remediation recommendations. - Prepare reports and letters detailing the cause of damage for clients. - Provide deposition and expert testimony in product liability for civil, federal, and occasional criminal court cases to testify about damages and professional liability. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent discipline required. - 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering field. - PE in state of employment or the ability to obtain one within 12 months. - Willingness to travel to clients’ sites (25-30%); ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions. Requirements - Familiarity with forensic investigation practices and principles is a plus. - 5 years’ experience evaluating electrical failures in a commercial or industrial setting preferred. - Power systems experience (generators, transformers, switchgear, etc.) is a plus; Electro-mechanical experience is desirable. - Experienced working with lawyers, insurance companies, and adjusters preferred.
