Role Description We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and close new strategic partnerships within our Small Business Insurance category. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads and making calls on potential partners with the ability to effectively engage and close on prospects. You will use strong communication skills to cultivate deep relationships with partners as well as our internal team. Responsibilities - Negotiate contract terms with new media publishers and strategic partners, and communicate to stakeholders. - Contact potential media partners through email and cold calling. - Effectively present our products and opportunities via phone, video chat, and pitch deck. - Collaborate with design and product teams to craft effective B2B acquisition strategies for publishers and small business owners. - Prospect for new business through a combination of efforts such as SMB and B2B conferences, industry research, and social media. - Report on progress and key metrics, identifying areas of opportunity and formulating strategies to achieve targets. - Achieve a high level of product knowledge to facilitate effective communication with partners. Qualifications - 6+ years of full-cycle sales, business development, strategic partnerships, or media sales experience. - Deep understanding and experience in Small Business industry. - Experience prospecting and creating new partnerships in the digital performance marketing space. - Strong ability to engage senior decision-makers (VP, C-suite, Heads of Partnerships/Marketing). - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Data-driven mindset; comfortable working with analytics, funnels, and performance metrics. - Highly organized, self-motivated, and effective in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent deals. - Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and pipeline management best practices. Requirements - The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 USD to $140,000 USD annually. - This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. - The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. - The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. - This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits, retirement benefits, paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits), and any other tax-reportable benefits.
