Role Description The Business Development Representative is an inside sales position responsible for researching target companies, identifying relevant individuals at those businesses, acquiring contact details, and contacting them with personalized messaging to generate and qualify new business leads. Once a lead is established, they will handle transitioning the lead to our sales network. - Develop and nurture prospect organizations within the financial services industry. - Conduct a needs analysis to determine a prospect’s pain points and key objectives. - Thrive in an accountable, quota-driven sales culture. - Research all available resources (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Salesforce, Apollo) to improve and increase our leads database. - Demonstrate the ability to engage with "C" level B2B relationships. - Manage and update data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce. - Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and events to maximize value from investments. - Participate in weekly sales team meetings and brief the Sales team before calls. - Exhibit organized and effective communication and listening skills. - Be self-motivated and a team player. Qualifications - BS in Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or any related field preferred. - 2+ years of experience in business development and lead generation. - B2B background in Fintech and/or financial services highly preferred. - Demonstrated experience in enterprise-wide solution sales to banks, lenders, and fintech. - A 'hunter' mentality with a proactive approach to generating new business leads. - Efficient, process-driven business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in maintaining and expanding a Salesforce CRM database. - An active LinkedIn account and strong social selling skills.
