You'll Be Responsible For: - Managing effective cost planning, procurement, and delivery of cost management services that support strategic outcomes for clients. - Ensuring ethical, commercially sound operations while advancing carbon‑reduction and responsible business practices. - Inspiring high‑performing teams, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in cost management delivery. - Managing feasibility studies, procurement strategies and contract documentation to ensure robust, compliant project foundations. - Delivering accurate estimating, cost planning, valuation and reporting to maintain strong commercial control and client confidence. - Managing contract administration, assessing change, claims and final accounts to safeguard project outcomes. - Inspiring and developing teams, driving continuous improvement, stakeholder collaboration and net‑zero‑aligned delivery. You'll Need To Have: - Degree in quantity surveying/cost management with strong commercial and financial acumen. - Professional MRICS/RICS membership (or equivalent) with ongoing professional development. - Knowledge of value engineering, lifecycle costing, contract law and sustainability principles. - Experience leading project workstreams and managing senior stakeholder relationships. The estimated salary for this position is $ 130,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications. Role Description The Senior Surveyor in the Global Digital Survey Centre (Miami) delivers remote/digital surveys using advanced inspection technologies and proven remote techniques. The role captures, validates and analyses survey evidence to determine compliance of assets with LR Classification Rules and applicable statutory requirements. In addition, the Senior Surveyor supports the Digital Survey Team Lead by monitoring workload and quality, coaching colleagues and contributing to overall team performance. The Global Digital Survey Centre (Miami) primarily undertakes remote surveys for Passenger Cruise vessels and conducts urgent remote survey support for all vessel types worldwide during on-duty periods. The Senior Surveyor should be experienced, proactive, passionate, and able to work under pressure and make tough decisions. Responsibilities - Deliver remote surveys using approved digital and remote techniques to assess the condition, compliance, and integrity of marine assets. - Evaluate and interpret survey data to confirm compliance with applicable LR Rules, statutory regulations, and international standards, identifying risks and non-conformities. - Produce accurate, high-quality survey reports, ensuring findings are clearly documented, recorded, and issued within agreed timeframes. - Act as a senior technical resource for complex or non-routine surveys, providing expert judgement and guidance to surveyors and stakeholders. - Work collaboratively with technical specialists and colleagues to resolve technical issues and enhance survey methodologies and outcomes. - Communicate effectively with shipowners, managers, flag administrations, and regulatory bodies to ensure clarity of survey scope, requirements, and conclusions. - Plan and execute survey activities efficiently, balancing operational constraints, asset availability, and client expectations. - Maintain competence and authorisations by remaining current with LR training, qualification requirements, regulatory developments, and emerging digital technologies. - Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and digitalisation of survey delivery. - Support the Team Lead in coaching, mentoring, and developing surveyors, promoting technical excellence, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the team. Role Description At UNDO, geochemistry is the foundational science driving our carbon removal technology, essential for our commercial operations aimed at removing 1 billion tonnes of CO2 by 2030. We seek an experienced scientist with expertise in either geochemistry, agronomy, soil science or a closely related discipline, as well as strong leadership skills to accelerate the development of our enhanced rock weathering technology, and support scaling CDR through innovation, research and scientific advancement. As one of our pioneering Science team, you will lead a key workstream, focusing on data quality and measurement approaches. This role is crucial for advancing our understanding of geochemical processes, and delivering our commercial projects, all with the end goal of scalable, accessible CDR. What will you do - Work on a range of ERW problems, contributing to the continuous development and improvement of our quantification approach based on the best available science and the calibration and validation of our geochemical model. - Lead on data requirements, quality control and method development for our measurement stack and ensure it is scientifically robust and aligned with verification requirements. - Test and sign-off, explain and gain buy-in to our MRV approach to external stakeholders, such as verification bodies, customers and the broader scientific community. - Own the identification, design and installation of research sites, working closely with our field teams to provide ongoing support and advice. - Identify and evaluate scientific risks, such as strong acid weathering, and advise on mitigation strategies. - Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and industry trends in geochemistry and enhanced weathering. - Communicate scientific concepts and approaches to the Carbon and measurement teams and senior leadership. - Assist with due diligence, investor relations and contract reporting where expert scientific detail is required. - Author, co-author and present enhanced weathering research through peer-reviewed papers, white papers, media articles, presentations and conferences as required. - Assist with the development and implementation of team and departmental OKRs. - Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications. Qualifications - Ph.D. or equivalent in aqueous geochemistry, agronomy, plant science, soil science, hydrology, geology or a closely related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in a relevant area of geochemical data analysis. - Pre-existing understanding of soil, rock and soil solution characterisation methods (i.e. ICP-MS, ICP-OES, XRF, XRD, sequential extractions, weathering isotopic systematics etc). - Proficiency in using laboratory and field equipment for geochemical analyses. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. - A track record of delivery of scientific reports or peer-reviewed papers in a timely manner. - Excellent oral and written communication skills - an ability to present complex information adaptively to the audience knowledge level. - Ability to adapt to changing circumstances. - Passion for environmental sustainability and addressing climate change. Requirements - Direct experience with enhanced rock weathering. - Post-PhD research experience in either industry or academia (post-doc). - Experience with carbon markets or CDR technologies. - Experience in the design, planning and interpretation of field trials. - Use of statistical methods for data analysis. - Knowledge of geochemical modelling in PhreeQC would be an advantage. - Basic programming capabilities (we use Python). - Familiarity with funding proposal preparation and grant management. - Experience in collaborating with industry partners and stakeholders.
