Role Description The Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI) delivers university partnership programmes designed to support student progression to undergraduate and postgraduate study at UK universities. All programmes are informed by task-based learning, communities of practice, and contemporary digital pedagogies to foster active, collaborative, and inclusive learning environments. OIDI currently offers a range of Level 3, Level 4 and Level 6 programmes, including: - Level 3 Online International Foundation Programmes (OIFP) in Business and Computer Science - Level 4 International Year One programme (IY1 in Business and Computer Science) - Level 6 Online Pre-Master’s in business & management and computer science Programmes are delivered fully online via Moodle, supported by digital tools such as MS Teams, H5P and live synchronous teaching delivered through Zoom. Successful students’ progress to undergraduate or postgraduate study at partner UK universities. The post holder will contribute to the design, delivery, assessment and enhancement of modules within their subject specialism. In line with standard academic practice, tutors will be expected to: - Prepare and deliver teaching sessions - Develop learning resources - Assess student work - Provide timely and developmental feedback - Support student engagement and progression Teaching and academic responsibilities include: - Delivery of scheduled live online teaching sessions - Facilitation of asynchronous learning activities within Moodle - Assessment, marking and feedback in accordance with academic regulations and assessment criteria - Development and enhancement of module learning materials and teaching resources - Academic guidance and pastoral-style support appropriate to online provision For established programmes, core learning materials and activities are in place. Working hours: The post is fixed-term (12 months) full-time (40 hours per week). Due to the international nature of OIDI programmes and delivery across multiple time zones, flexibility in working patterns is required. Teaching may be scheduled during early morning hours (from 08:00 UK time) to accommodate students based in overseas regions. Appropriate breaks, including a lunch period, will be taken within the working day. However, post holders are expected to remain available during core working hours to support academic delivery, student needs and operational continuity, including provision of emergency teaching cover where required.
