Sales Development Representative

• Support lead generation efforts within an assigned 2-5 state territory • Conduct outbound outreach to hospital and practice administrators to understand hiring needs and recruiting priorities • Qualify prospective clients and schedule introductory calls, webinars, and in-person meetings for senior Business Development team members • Assist with coordinating webinars and follow-up activities with prospective clients • Maintain accurate and organized records of outreach, conversations, and follow-ups within the CRM • Provide timely communication and handoff of qualified leads to the broader Business Development team
Job Requirements
- Entry-level exposure to healthcare staffing business development
- Hands-on experience in prospecting, qualification, and client engagement
- Ongoing collaboration with experienced Business Development professionals
- At least two years of sales experience preferred - Including: Inside Sales, Outside Sales, B2B Sales and Cold Calling
- Have a positive attitude
- Outgoing personality
- Ability to pursue and generate leads
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- College degree preferred

• Manage the complete sales process within your assigned territory, from lead generation through post‑sales follow‑up, in close alignment with Account Managers. • Identify and qualify chromatography opportunities (consumables and systems) through collaboration with field sales, marketing, and business area initiatives. • Drive product adoption by focusing on seeding, specification, and early‑stage technical qualification activities. • Lead technical discussions with customers and internal teams to demonstrate the value of Sartorius chromatography solutions. • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer and opportunity data within CRM systems. • Provide technical expertise and customer insights (VoC) related to resin, membrane, and monolith‑based chromatography. • Support and/or conduct product trials, demonstrations, and Lunch‑and‑Learn sessions at customer sites. • Build strong partnerships with Account Management to ensure cohesive territory strategy and execution. • Manage a balanced opportunity funnel (short-, mid-, and long‑term) to support ongoing product and revenue goals. • Develop and execute action plans to grow and protect chromatography business within your territory.
• Create highly qualified leads and early-stage opportunities for your team’s pipeline • Work with Account Executives to strategically build and action prospect lists and outbound initiatives per territory/vertical • Research companies and market segments to determine fit for product/service • Initiate contact with leads through a range of outbound activities such as phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn etc. • Work with Sales and Marketing to generate call scripts, sequences, and other outbound prospecting initiatives • Facilitate warm hand-off calls between qualified leads and Account Executives • Follow-up with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and inbound requests including previously engaged customers that did not buy • Develop new sales strategies based on personal successes and failures • Document and record activities, such as meeting notes and call/email activity within the CRM • Other duties as assigned
• Demonstrate knowledge of the client’s products, policies, and personnel while collaborating with the client to develop realistic objectives and strategies for building its business. • Demonstrate industry, market, customer, and category knowledge by regularly monitoring and analyzing market trends, customer trends, promotional activity, consumer behaviors, demographic shifts, and “best practices”. • Provide Fiduciary Management of Client/Customer Relationships in innovation, assortment, pricing, programming, shelving and claims management. • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for client and customer relationships, maintain appropriate records, manage and access company SharePoint Sites, share files on company platforms, and drive and manage client and customer portals as required for success. • Establishes professional and frequent lines of communication with clients, supervisors, direct reports, associates, and customers and elevates issues and opportunities in a timely manner. • Participates in training and development programs to improve communication, organization, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Is a "team player"; honest and forthright with all parties; works well with peers; trains and develops subordinates; adheres to the Code of Business Conduct.
