Role Description We are seeking a Graduate Intern – Market Sector & Client Insights to support the development of Salas O’Brien’s priority market sector narratives through a combination of market research and sector‑specific client feedback analysis. This role is designed to help strengthen how the firm understands, articulates, and evolves its positioning in key markets by grounding sector insight in real client perspectives. Working under the guidance of senior marketing and strategy leaders, this role offers hands‑on experience at the intersection of market strategy, client insight, and professional services marketing. The intern will contribute to meaningful, leadership‑ready outputs that inform sector narratives, positioning, and thought leadership foundations. Responsibilities - Market Sector Focus - Support research and synthesis efforts for Salas O’Brien’s priority market sectors, including market trends, client priorities, competitive signals, and emerging issues. - Assist in organizing and summarizing sector‑specific insights that inform sector narratives, positioning frameworks, and messaging platforms. - Help identify common themes in how clients within priority sectors describe value, challenges, and decision drivers. - Contribute to internal briefing materials that support sector leaders, business development teams, and marketing partners. - Client Feedback & Insight - Analyze client feedback data through a market sector lens, identifying patterns and distinctions across priority sectors. - Synthesize qualitative and quantitative client feedback into clear insights that help validate, challenge, or refine sector narratives. - Support the translation of client feedback into sector‑relevant observations rather than standalone program metrics. - Assist in developing presentations or summaries that connect client experience insights back to market positioning and growth strategy. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Support - Collaborate with marketing, business development, and operations partners to ensure insights are relevant and usable. - Support research on industry and client experience best practices as they relate to priority markets. - Provide general research, analysis, and presentation support as needed. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a graduate program (business, marketing, strategy, analytics, or related field). - Exposure to professional services, consulting, marketing, strategy, business analytics, or customer insights. Requirements - Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. - Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, structured insights. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with survey tools or CRM platforms a plus. - Comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative information.
