Staff Accountant

LawPay

• Perform month-end close functions for multiple entities • Cross train with accounting team on prepaids, fixed assets, and other functional areas as assigned • Record cash transaction activity and reconcile all bank accounts • Support financial and tax audits by providing PBC schedules and documentation as assigned • Ensure procedures are in accordance with GAAP requirements and accounting department policies • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Confident self-starter with a solid ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial/accounting principles and systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
