• Own the operational stability, availability, and reliability of a global IVR platform across AWS and on‑premises environments • Support production deployments, environment configuration, and release activities • Manage day‑to‑day operations of high‑availability IVR and voice platforms • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using logs and metrics • Respond to and participate in production incident investigation and resolution • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, voice, SIP, and call‑flow‑related issues • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, and analytics teams during incidents and releases • Participate in on‑call rotations and off‑hours production support as required • Integrate security best practices ("secure-by-default") into the pipeline, including access control and vulnerability scanning

• Own and improve cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines • Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance across services • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues independently • Work closely with engineering and product teams to support releases • Identify bottlenecks and proactively implement improvements • Handle shifting priorities and urgent production needs • Occasionally perform on-call rotations

• Our mission is the digitization of Germany! • You will work actively in project teams and support our clients in the development and implementation of secure, scalable and future-proof cloud strategies. • Analyze customer requirements and derive viable technical solution approaches • Design, build and evolve modern cloud and platform architectures with a focus on Kubernetes in a Private Cloud context, as well as with selected public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS) • Architect and design scalable, secure and maintainable system landscapes • Build and operate container platforms based on Kubernetes • Create and enhance automation such as CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing and release cycles, e.g. with GitLab, ArgoCD or Azure DevOps • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) • Analyze and evaluate existing architectures and present recommended actions • Coach team members on cloud and platform topics • Contribute to internal ARES projects

• Design and maintain cloud resource tagging and labeling strategies across GCP and AWS to support accurate cost attribution • Develop tooling and pipelines to ingest, normalize, and report on cloud billing data using the FOCUS specification • Automate cost anomaly detection, forecasting, and alerting so engineering teams can respond quickly to changes in infrastructure spend • Contribute to GitLab's observability and monitoring stacks, including Prometheus, LGTM (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir), and ELK, with a focus on surfacing cost efficiency signals • Partner with Finance and Engineering leadership to support cloud cost forecasting for planning and budget discussions • Act as a subject matter expert for cloud cost attribution, tagging strategy, and FOCUS adoption across GitLab Infrastructure • Collaborate with Finance and Compliance teams on audits, certifications, and financial reporting needs related to cloud infrastructure usage • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts, including Terraform and Ansible, so cost controls and tagging requirements are built into provisioning workflows from the start.
