Senior Consultant – Cloud & DevOps Engineering

• Our mission is the digitization of Germany! • You will work actively in project teams and support our clients in the development and implementation of secure, scalable and future-proof cloud strategies. • Analyze customer requirements and derive viable technical solution approaches • Design, build and evolve modern cloud and platform architectures with a focus on Kubernetes in a Private Cloud context, as well as with selected public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS) • Architect and design scalable, secure and maintainable system landscapes • Build and operate container platforms based on Kubernetes • Create and enhance automation such as CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing and release cycles, e.g. with GitLab, ArgoCD or Azure DevOps • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) • Analyze and evaluate existing architectures and present recommended actions • Coach team members on cloud and platform topics • Contribute to internal ARES projects
Job Requirements
- Degree or vocational training in IT
- Experience in technical consulting
- Several years of experience in cloud-native technologies and platform engineering, particularly in private cloud or hybrid environments
- Excellent knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem
- Extensive experience in designing cloud and platform architectures (IaaS/PaaS)
- Solid knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT)
- Relevant experience in a DevOps environment
- IT security is part of your daily routine
- You are independent, customer-oriented, strong in communication and enjoy working in a team
- You are motivated to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and take on responsibility
- Willingness to travel within Germany (on average max. 3 days/month)
- Very good German and English skills
- Willingness to undergo a security check (SÜ1 or SÜ2) according to the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
