The motivated leader to provide hands-on proposal management and support to strategic modernization proposals for our Ordnance Systems (OSI) business. The Proposal Manager will support the proposal development process and ensure on-time delivery of compliant and well-written proposals. Major activities include driving capture teams for superior readiness to bid, proposal planning, leading the development of superior proposal products, and implementing a repeatable process across the business. Ensures compliance with US Department of Defense Source Selection acquisition process. Location/Schedule/Travel: - This is a Remote/Onsite Hybrid role where you can work from home 2 days each week and go onsite 3 day each week, based on business needs - This role would ideally be based out of Radford, VA or Kingsport, TN - This position will work on a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off - This role will around 10% of travel Responsibilities: - Lead and manage proposals supporting the Holston and Radford Portfolio from Pre-Proposal Phase through Post-Proposal Phase - Plan and manage priority/strategic proposals as assigned - Proactively communicate with proposal teams and business unit leadership to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available to achieve a successful proposal submission - Develop and maintain key critical customer interactions throughout the pre-proposal and post-proposal process - Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to project managers, engineering, functional groups, and proposal contributors - Coach and train proposal teams on the development of complex, compliant, and compelling proposal responses to RFPs and RFIs - Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management, and remain current on all amendments and modifications to the solicitation - Demonstrate proposal process expertise and ability to tailor as appropriate - Oversee/produce proposal outlines, kickoff documentation, "Data Call" requests, proposal schedules, technical volumes, compliance matrices, proposal management plans, leadership briefings, and gateway review briefings - Develop and maintain proposal schedules and drive proposal team adherence to the schedule - Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, identify defined requirements, and prepare USG communications on any RFIs - Perform quality check for accuracy and compliance of all proposal sections and volumes Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience - Experience in Proposal Management and/or Project Management - Experience in Defense/Government Contracting - Knowledge of FAR/DFAR Requirements - Ability to support the proposal lifecycle - Ability to navigate difficult customer and stakeholder relationships - Ability to work in fast-paced environments - Ability to meet deadlines - MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project) skills - Strong Excel data analytics skills - Strong communication skills - Strong organizational skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Graduate Degree - PMP Certification - Experience in Proposal Lifecycle - Experience in Chemical or Construction Industry - Experience in GOCO environment - Expertise in Excel Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $94702 - $160992 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
