Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of development experience
- Strong experience with Java, Android, Flutter, C# or React
- Knowledge and experience with MySQL and Oracle databases
- Willingness to learn and work with other technologies as needed
- Solid programming logic skills
- Knowledge of system integrations and APIs
- Self-managing, collaborative profile with ease of working in a team
- Differentials: ERP knowledge is highly valued; experience in integration projects

Role Description The Email Engineer is responsible for building, testing, and deploying high-quality HTML emails within the Wunderkind internal platform and within Email Service Providers (ESPs) such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Oracle Responsys, Braze, and Bloomreach. This role is execution-focused and requires strong hands-on email coding, scripting, and QA capabilities to support high-volume lifecycle, campaign, and triggered email programs for clients. The ideal candidate has deep experience working directly inside ESPs, writing scripting logic for dynamic content, and delivering production-ready emails that meet strict quality, performance, and turnaround expectations. Key Responsibilities - Hand-code responsive HTML/CSS emails for production use - Translate design files (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop) into pixel-accurate email builds - Implement dynamic content and personalization logic using ESP scripting languages and data attributes - Configure message delivery, including: - Journey/Flow orchestration - Entry and eligibility criteria - Conditional branching based on user behavior or attributes - Timing rules, delays, and send frequency control - Suppression and exclusion logic - Perform thorough self-QA and client testing prior to deployment Qualifications - Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS for email, including: - Inline CSS - Table-based layouts - Mobile responsiveness - Email-safe fonts and fallbacks - Experience handling: - Dark mode rendering - Basic accessibility considerations - Ability to build modular, reusable templates - Knowledge of JSON structures and data flows as used in email deployments/integrations - Hands-on production experience in ESP platforms - Proficiency in one or more scripting languages: - AMPscript (SFMC) - Klaviyo (Django) - Liquid (Braze) - Jinja (Bloomreach) - Experience testing emails across major clients - Familiarity with testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
