Human Resources Generalist

Role Description As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll execute a wide range of core HR processes while partnering with leaders to build strong teams and an engaging workplace. You’ll provide guidance to Region Directors, District Managers, and Store Managers on policies, performance, people practices, employee relations matters, and help drive HR initiatives that improve compliance, efficiency, and day-to-day operations. - Partner with Field Leadership on workforce retention and engagement strategies. - Coach and advise leaders on HR policies, practices, and employment-related topics; interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. - Support employee relations by responding to concerns and guiding leaders through values-based solutions (coaching, performance conversations, corrective action, conflict resolution, development planning, etc.). - Handle sensitive matters appropriately, including intake and investigations of concerns such as harassment/discrimination/retaliation, wage/hour questions, and other team member relations issues—escalating complex cases when needed. - Develop and deliver training and HR education materials to strengthen leader capability and ensure programs are executed effectively. - Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities within processes, procedures, compliance, and operations. - Analyze workforce data (turnover, survey results, trends) and share insights and recommendations. This remote role supports Casey’s store locations across Iowa—including the Des Moines metro, Council Bluffs, Ames, and nearby rural communities—with limited travel to stores as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work-related experience required. - Three years of human resources experience. - Basic knowledge of civil rights, equal opportunity, and other employment laws and regulations. - Strong understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures considered best practices for human resources. - General familiarity with concepts pertaining to the Family Medical Leave Act and other leave policies as well as drug and alcohol matters as it pertains to employment. - Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred. - Ability to handle situations with discretion, good judgement, and an appropriate sense of urgency. - Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with the ability to communicate with individuals across all levels of the organization. - Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job-related travel. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Role Description This role requires travel across the entire Region, approximately 85% of the time. All travel expenses are covered, and there is likewise a base salary plus multiple incentives. As a HouseCalls Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will conduct annual in-home health assessments for Medicare Advantage and other plan members. This is a non-prescribing, field-based role focused on improving health outcomes through education, gap closure, and collaboration with primary care providers (PCP).
