Role Description CTG is seeking to fill a Mainframe Developer (COBOL / DB2 / CICS) position for our client. - Location: Remote - Duration: 8 months Key Highlights: - Work on enterprise mainframe systems supporting retail and supply chain operations - Hands-on development with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and SQL - High-impact role involving production support, enhancements, and system optimization - Fully remote opportunity Core Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and SQL - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Design and optimize DB2 databases and queries for performance and scalability - Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes - Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives - Document technical designs, processes, and system changes - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration Qualifications - Strong experience with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and SQL - Background supporting retail systems and supply chain processes - Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize mainframe applications - Experience working in Agile or similar SDLC environments - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Role Description ECS is seeking a Genetic Statistical Subject Matter Expert (SME) that will provide support in the areas of forensic science, population genetics, forensic DNA likelihood ratios, allelic dependencies, and population substructures. The Genetic Statistical SME is responsible for reviewing the Population Statistics (Popstats) to ensure that the calculations are accurate. The genetic statistical SME will evaluate the Popstats to ensure the proper caveats are contained within the description of CPI and CPE to prevent misuse of the statistic by labs within the CODIS community. Additional support includes white papers and expert guidance on population genetics, recommendations to enhancing kinship, paternity and mixture calculations and the validity of those calculations and likelihood ratios. Qualifications - Active Secret clearance - Strong understanding of the calculations used in Popstats: Forensic Single Sample, Mixture, Kinship, Parentage, Partial Match, and Match Estimation Requirements - Review the Popstats FSD to ensure the calculations are accurate and clearly explained and provide suggestions to improve the calculations in CODIS - Provide support in the event of emergent issues impacting the CODIS program.
