Role Description As the Event Intern, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of events to ensure seamless and memorable experiences for attendees. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, you will assist with all logistical details, vendor coordination, administrative tasks, and on-site event support. - Please note this is a 16 week long fixed-term contract and due to the nature of this position, preference will be given to candidates located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or Greater Vancouver Area (GVA). Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, or administrative work. - Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with excellent attention to detail. - Proactive mindset and ability to work in a team, as well as to solve problems independently. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Ability to lift up to 25 lbs to chest height. Requirements - Assist with event planning, including scheduling, applying for permitting, and vendor communications and coordination. - Maintain event timelines, checklists, and registration lists. - Support with distribution of event materials, invitations, and communications. - Respond to event inquiries via phone and email. - Assist with post-event administration, including reporting and Salesforce data entry. - Resolve minor issues and contribute to a smooth event flow. - Assist with third-party event supporter needs. - Other duties as assigned. The Events Coordinator will join the Events team which runs the firm’s marketing and internal events from start-to-finish. The coordinator will play an integral role in creating effective event experiences. The role presents an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of event planning from Events leadership.
