Front Office Administration - Patient Scheduling: Manage a high-volume surgical and routine exam calendar, ensuring appointments are optimized for provider flow. - Inbound/Outbound Calls: Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries, scheduling requests, and general practice questions. - Insurance Verification: Perform real-time eligibility checks and explain out-of-pocket costs or vision vs. medical insurance differences to patients. - Chart Readiness: Ensure all patient charts are prepped with necessary authorizations and referrals prior to the date of service.
The Patient Services Associate I answers incoming calls to schedule Radiology appointments and makes outgoing calls to patients and physicians. The majority of time will be spent handling scheduling and pre-registration calls based on business needs. Follows standardized process to get and give information during scheduling/pre-registration calls according to documented work processes. Job Summary The Senior Coordinator, Prior Authorization is responsible for obtaining, documenting, and tracking payer approvals for durable medical equipment (DME) orders, including diabetes devices and other clinically prescribed supply categories (e.g., ostomy, urological, wound care). This role submits prior authorization requests through payer portals or via fax, and conducts phone-based follow-ups with payers and provider offices to secure timely approvals. The Senior Coordinator proactively manages upcoming expirations to prevent order delays, meets daily productivity targets, and adheres to quality, compliance, and HIPAA standards.
