Head of Payroll

Pebl

• Execute and shape global payroll strategy in partnership with senior leadership, ensuring alignment across Employer of Record services, technology, client service, and operations. • Support the payroll product roadmap by collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams, contributing insights to drive scalability, automation, and stronger customer experiences. • Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery across multiple regions. • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on payroll best practices and process improvements, providing a consultative approach to optimize global payroll execution. • Lead internal process improvements, streamlining workflows, integrating systems, and leveraging automation and data to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Manage and develop a global payroll team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement. • Maintain compliance and mitigate risks by working closely with Legal, Compliance, and regional experts to meet regulatory requirements worldwide.

Job Requirements

  • Experience partnering with clients to improve payroll/financial services delivery, particularly within complex, multi-country environments.
  • Proven track record implementing transformation initiatives within fast-moving, global organizations.
  • Solid understanding of payroll as a product, with experience enhancing payroll capabilities or contributing to tech-enabled solutions. Examples of client or project work in payroll, especially in high-growth environments, are strongly preferred.
  • Background in consulting or operational roles, with demonstrated skills in data-driven decision-making, KPI tracking, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience leading regional or global teams, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines, and working effectively in ambiguous, changing contexts.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer-focused delivery.
