Toast
• Select, implement, design, and build services and tools to manage and deliver security intelligence across Toast platforms. • Identify, triage, and provide remediation guidance for application vulnerabilities, with a specific focus on anti-abuse activities. • Improve developer tooling and adoption to build a more robust SSDLC which integrates security and anti-abuse features. • Practice a #OneTeam attitude to help other Toast teams make informed, security-conscious decisions when building new public-facing software. • Assist incident response teams with application security expertise and tools, especially related to abuse and fraud. • Build threat models on Toast applications and use cases. • Guide in the design and maintenance of robust and resilient network and application architecture. • Collaborate to improve information gathering and sharing across all Toast products. • Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application security and security engineering.
- Experience building and maintaining scaled Java web services in production.
- Experience developing script applications in Python for scheduling and backend data handling.
- Experience leveraging LLM AI features for software development and/or security operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud application architecture.
- Successful history of being a subject matter expert to guide colleagues toward better security outcomes, especially related to abuse, fraud and legal concerns.
- Previous security experience working with fintech applications and associated requirements.
- Strong understanding of privacy, security, and cryptography patterns and when to apply them, especially when handling customer information (such as PKIs, access management, data tokenization, and anonymization).

Your day at NTT DATA The Principal Enterprise Architect is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for leading the design of complex managed service solutions and driving the strategic vision and direction for the company’s largest enterprise clients. Key Responsibilities: - Leads the design of large and complex managed service solutions by driving services teams, to provide client solutions that support client business outcomes, integrating technology and service design across multiple domains, delivery units, or geographies. - Works closely with the sales team to participate in and proactively drive the presales process with clients. This may include conducting meetings, writing proposals, proposing solutions, and delivering presentations. - Shares responsibility for win strategy, is responsible for translating clients’ business strategy and desired business outcomes into an IT strategy/roadmap, positioning our end-to-end portfolio with a focus on landing a service-related solution, and end-to-end solution design. - Leads large complex solution design with clients and leads/supports the internal service and technical teams to enable business outcome and requirements mapping. - Integrates services, processes, applications, DATA, technology through a design process across multiple domains, delivery units, or geography. - Contribute to the knowledge base of the organization's development and services by sharing best practices with internal teams and clients. - Uses understanding of the client’s business, industry practices, and breadth of knowledge on the full solution portfolio and consulting to personalize the solution in line with the client’s SLA, KPI, and measured need. - Develops business case and end-to-end roadmap to optimize IT Operations and Measured Business Value across multiple solution areas. - Interprets, influences, and develops IT strategies, as well as implement the execution of the strategies. - Defines architectural principles and applies them to influence architectural outcomes and guide governance. - Develops As-Is, Vision, FMO and To Be service architectures, identify gaps and develop transition roadmaps. - Develops both strategic and solution architectures using the Enterprise Architecture domain abstraction. - Synthesizes current and future technology trends with client strategic imperatives to create compelling value-driven solutions for clients. - Leads the integration of services (if the lead is not conducted by the Services Architect), process, applications, DATA, technology through a Managed Service design across multiple domains, delivery units or geography. - Defines organizational structure, capabilities, processes, and business functions. Knowledge and Attributes: - Extended knowledge of the methods and processes of an appropriate Enterprise Architecture framework, for example, TOGAF. - Extended knowledge across Enterprise Architecture, Managed Services, Service Management Consulting, and multiple solutions areas (Business Units), and across domains, delivery units, and geographies. - Extended understanding of how technology solutions are influenced and affected by various business scenarios. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Extended demonstrable systems thinking, and strategic thinking skills coupled with the ability to capture the key elements of a system into a simple abstraction that empowers good decisions. - Extended business financial skills, coupled with the demonstrable ability to perform a cost-benefit analysis and manage the budget of a team. - Extended business negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution sills. - Extended knowledge of infrastructure strategies including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, security, network, compute and storage, etc. - Excellent ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and staff. - Political savvy plus the extended knowledge of industry best practices for architectural governance of cloud, Agile, devSecOps, etc. - Extended knowledge of core Managed Service Portfolio offer artefacts, techniques, demos, tools and deliverables. - Extended vertical knowledge of the required industry. - Extended understanding of the vast range of IT Service Management and operations. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Engineering or Computer Science or related field. - Certification and expert knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (such as, TOGAF, Zachman, SOA); preference in TOGAF, additional SOA will be considered as an asset. - Certification and expert knowledge of IT Service Management methodologies (ITIL, COBIT, etc.). - Scaled Agile certification advantageous. Required experience: - Extended experience in a consulting and IT role within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment. - Extended experience in IT operations, preferably gained within a global technology organization. - Extended experience in a wide variety of Enterprise Application and Process, IT Services in Networking, DATA Center, Communications (including Contact Center), Security, End-User Computing and digital Business Solutions. - Extended client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management and the ability to recognize opportunities for future business within an account. - Extended experience in integrating the solution for the project with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns, and best practices. - Extended business development and pre-sales experience. - Extended experience of the IT industry environment and business needs, combined with a strong understanding of business processes, applications, and infrastructure architecture.
