Role Description AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated entry-level Geologist to support the Environmental business line, primarily working on Federal projects. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026. - Apply standard field practices and techniques using basic field equipment to collect samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, sediment; prepare samples for shipping, and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork. - Apply knowledge of natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics) to explain observations. - Conduct oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. - Prepare basic data and scientific documents. - Possess technical report writing skills. - Perform unsupervised field tasks. - Coordinate with task and project managers, working with on-site subcontractors and field staff, supporting sampling, data collection, and field documentation. - Participate in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training. - Learn and develop a keen understanding of hazard recognition. - Travel to various job sites within the US. - Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related discipline (e.g., geophysics, geochemistry, environmental geology, engineering geology). - Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. - As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. - Candidate must be able to pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check to obtain U.S. Federal Government Credentials. - Candidate must be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination. - Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required. Requirements - Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology or other related discipline (e.g., geophysics, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental geology, engineering geology). - Proficiency in standard office suite software applications. - Selected candidate will be required to complete 40 hour HAZWOPER training and/or annual 8 hour refresher class, if needed. Currently trained is a plus. - Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings. - Prepare investigation reports and drawings. - Possesses technical report writing skills. - Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees. - Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to learn through on-the-job experience. - Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs of sampling equipment and coolers, with assistance up to 90% of the time. - Safely drive and operate a full-size pickup truck. - Be medically fit for wearing a respirator. Role Description The Field Services Representative 1 will diagnose and repair Gaumard simulators using light hand tools or electronics equipment. They will install new simulators and support equipment, as well as perform operational in-service training to instruct customers on how to operate and maintain the simulators. This position is remote and will manage either of the regions below: - Region A: Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois - Region B: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia Receives direct supervision from the Field Services Manager. Duties and Responsibilities - Performs operational in-service training and installation of Gaumard Standard and Advanced Patient simulator(s) at customer sites. - Visits hospitals, universities, medical centers, etc., to inspect, diagnose, and repair Gaumard’s Standard and Advanced Patient simulators using light hand tools or electronics equipment. - Follow schematics, drawings, diagrams, samples; or written/verbal instructions in order to troubleshoot and/or repair simulators during the course of a single visit. - Actively requests support and verification of process from senior Field Services Reps. in the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of a simulator(s) and its support equipment. - Participate in group communications with other Field Services Team members. - Completes repairs and verifies functionality in both a neat and timely fashion. - Completes required documentation in a timely manner. - Serves as contact for conference calls with customers. - Other duties as required.
