Job Description
Senior / Staff Product Manager, Agentic Platform
EQS Group GmbH
JOIN OUR TEAM AI is transforming every industry. At EQS Group, we’re building the agentic future for Compliance & Ethics teams – directly inside our Compliance Cockpit, the platform used by over 14,000 organizations worldwide for legally binding compliance work. Our ambition: an AI layer that doesn’t just assist but actively works alongside compliance professionals – from surfacing insights to executing complex, multi-step tasks autonomously. This is regulated AI at scale – and we’re assembling the team to make it real. As our Agentic Platform Product Lead, you're building the engine room — and the moat. Your mandate is the platform-wide agentic layer — the shared infrastructure, primitives, and framework that product teams build on top of. Embedded into that foundation is a Compliance-First AI governance and observability layer: ensuring every AI action is auditable, explainable, and held to the accuracy and transparency standards that regulated industries demand. Equally, you'll define and build our compliance intelligence layer — a vertical knowledge foundation trained on regulatory frameworks, disclosure requirements, and compliance workflows that no horizontal AI player can replicate. Use-case roadmaps live with the product area leads — your job is to make sure the foundation they build on is solid, proprietary, and genuinely defensible. You will partner with an AI engineering team to ship features that thousands of companies rely on for Whistleblowing & Case Management, Policy Management, and regulatory reporting. If you’re an AI-native product thinker who’s shipped intelligent agents in production, thrives in regulated or high-stakes domains, and wants to define the AI product surface of a platform that matters – we want to hear from you. EQS Group is a leading international cloud software provider in the fields of corporate compliance and investor relations. By working with EQS Group, thousands of companies worldwide inspire trust by fulfilling complex national and international disclosure obligations, minimizing risks, and communicating transparently with stakeholders. As you might have already guessed from all this trust & compliance talk, transparency is very important to us. That's why we communicate all our commitments to sustainability, diversity, equality, and well-being on our homepage and our social media platforms. We do this for you, for us, for everyone – fairly and publicly. The key to our success is hiring talented people who bring passion to the table every day, take responsibility, and support each other in the best possible way to create a trustworthy environment. Help us revolutionize together! OUR CULTURE DRIVES OUR BENEFITS - You're important! A trusting environment and lifelong learning for your individual development. Set personal development goals, receive support and regular feedback. We support you in equipping yourself for success. - Living our values! Take responsibility for a variety of tasks, find out what you like to work on, and find your way to make your own personal impact with us! - Great atmosphere! Regular team events, BarCamps, corporate volunteering days, a talented international team, and a common goal that unites us all. Look for yourself at #EQSlife on Instagram! - Be part of an exciting journey! Contribute to our success story of becoming the leading European cloud provider for corporate compliance, investor relations solutions, and sustainability reporting (ESG Tech). - Work-life balance is a must! You will work in our modern office and be equipped with up-to-date hardware. In addition, you can work remotely, even from other European countries, and flexibly arrange your working hours. And if you need a longer break, we also offer you the possibility of a sabbatical – because your free time is just as important to us as you are. - Health is a priority! Company-sponsored sports program for the use of various fitness studios, leasing via JobRad, mental health counseling, and much more for you. YOUR IMPACT As Staff Product Manager, Agentic Platform, you'll be the person accountable for turning EQS Group's AI vision into the foundational infrastructure that every product team builds on. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer and working closely with our Head of AI and Product and Engineering leadership, you'll own the agentic layer end to end — the primitives, the governance framework, and the compliance intelligence layer that no horizontal player can replicate. Here's how you'll make your mark: - Own the agentic platform roadmap — and build what others can't copy. Define and continuously refine the platform-wide foundation for AI across EQS Group: from core agentic primitives (memory, orchestration, tool calling, human-in-the-loop triggers) to the Compliance-First AI governance and observability layer, all the way to a proprietary compliance intelligence layer trained on regulatory frameworks, disclosure logic, and compliance-specific reasoning. Prioritize ruthlessly based on platform leverage, technical defensibility, and strategic fit. Every initiative you greenlight should make every product team faster — and every competitor further behind. - Drive platform discovery — and make sure we build what matters! Be in the room with compliance leaders, our domain experts and product area leads. Run structured discovery to uncover where agentic AI can bring true value and validate hypotheses with prototypes. Understand where autonomous action genuinely accelerates compliance work, where human-in-the-loop adds confidence, and where a well-designed observability layer earns the trust that lets agents act more freely over time. You don't delegate understanding the domain — you dive into it. - Shape the AI interaction model – and set the UX bar! Work alongside our strong and experienced Product Design team to define how compliance professionals interact with AI inside Cockpit. Design the experience for copilot-style assistance, agentic task execution, and ambient intelligence. Ensure the AI layer feels trustworthy, explainable, and natural – especially for users who’ve never worked with AI before. - Build the evaluation and governance framework – because accuracy is non-negotiable! Partner with engineering to establish rigorous evaluation frameworks for AI outputs. Define quality bars, accuracy thresholds, and governance guardrails appropriate for legally binding compliance work. Own the question of “is this good enough to ship?” and be comfortable saying no when it isn’t. - Collaborate across Product and Engineering – and align the broader organization! Work closely with EQS Group’s existing Product and Engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into the Compliance Cockpit experience. Align with the CPO, CTO, and CEO on strategic direction. Be the connective tissue between AI ambition and product reality. - Ship fast, learn faster – and build in public! Operate with startup speed inside a scaled platform. Ship fast, ship often, run experiments, measure outcomes, and iterate. Document and share what you learn – internally and externally – to build EQS Group’s credibility as an AI-first compliance platform. THIS IS YOU To succeed in this role: - You are AI-native – you have deep, hands-on experience with LLMs, building agentic frameworks, copilot patterns, and AI-powered products. You understand what’s technically possible and can have a meaningful conversation with engineers about architecture, evals, and trade-offs. - You have shipped AI agents and features into production – not prototypes, not demos, but real AI capabilities used by real customers. You know the difference between an impressive POC and a reliable product. - You think from the customer backward – you obsess over user problems, not technology for its own sake. You can translate vague customer pain into crisp product requirements and know when to validate before building. - You have high agency and an entrepreneurial mindset – you don’t wait for permission or perfect information. You make decisions, ship fast, learn from outcomes, and course-correct. You’re energized by ambiguity and ownership. - You are an outstanding communicator – able to present to a boardroom, run a customer workshop, and write a crisp product spec with equal confidence. You simplify complexity and create alignment across diverse stakeholders. - You have a strong analytical foundation – a university degree (discipline is secondary) paired with the intellectual curiosity and rigor to navigate a complex, regulated domain. - You have 5+ years of professional experience in product management, preferably in B2B SaaS, and at least 2 years working directly on AI-powered product features. - Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus given our Munich headquarters and DACH market presence.
