• Partner with business and product stakeholders to collect requirements and design, develop, test/debug, document, and support software applications. • Leverage generative AI–assisted development tools to accelerate research, coding, debugging, documentation, and testing, while maintaining high standards of code quality. • Support integration efforts by working across APIs, data sources, and external systems to ensure seamless, secure, and well‑structured interactions within the broader ecosystem. • Collaborate in a team environment that fosters innovation and continuous improvement. • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in software development languages, patterns, architectures, and generative AI coding.

• Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of Reddit’s next-generation ML Indexing & Retrieval engine, integrating capabilities across lexical and vector indexing, low-latency retrieval, and emerging GenAI applications. • Partner closely with product engineers across Content Understanding, Search, Feeds, Ads, Growth, and Safety to deliver high-quality experiences. • Define best practices for observability, reliability, and operational excellence in large-scale distributed systems. • Mentor and guide engineers in designing scalable infrastructure and adopting robust DevOps and SRE principles. • Collaborate with infrastructure, and ML teams to ensure the platform evolves to meet the needs of Reddit’s growing user base and diverse content ecosystem.

• Own the multi-year technical vision for Payments, Scheduling, and RCM application platforms • Drive architectural coherence across multiple teams, identifying and resolving cross-system dependencies and technical debt at the platform level • Lead technical due diligence for major initiatives, including build-vs-buy decisions, vendor evaluations, and platform migrations • Identify and solve company-level technical problems that span organizational boundaries • Compile information across systems, teams, and projects to develop comprehensive solutions with extensive validation, rollback, and testing plans • Monitor the industry landscape, anticipate where high-scale customer experience and transactional platforms are heading, and ensure Weave stays ahead of the curve • Cut through noise and hype to identify genuine strategic value; advocate for and lead key initiatives • Shape company-wide standards for engineering excellence, observability, and reliability in distributed systems • Actively mentor Staff and Senior Engineers across the fellowship, developing the next generation of technical leaders
