YOUR IMPACT A Senior Consultant role at OpenText is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to impact lives. As a key contributor, you’ll be instrumental in developing cutting-edge information management solutions while providing both pre‑sales technical consulting and professional services delivery for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and CAD solutions. The role heavily supports OEM and supplier ecosystems—primarily Automotive, with exposure to Aerospace and Defense—by enabling effective product design collaboration, system implementation, and customer adoption. The role involves customer engagement across the full lifecycle—from technical sales support and demonstrations to solution deployment, training, and ongoing support. The individual will work independently or as part of consulting teams, leveraging deep application, domain, and system knowledge to deliver value-driven PLM and CAD solutions. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Professional Services & Solution Delivery (50–60%) • Deliver, implement, test, and support OEM compliant PLM and CAD solutions within customer environments • Install, stage, configure, and validate hardware, software, and peripheral systems, providing on-site and remote delivery (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE, Teamcenter) • Maintain a strong understanding of PLM/CAD applications and varying user proficiency levels • Review and test software for accuracy and documentation consistency, identifying issues and improvement opportunities • Support and assist with customer training sessions and enablement activities Pre-Sales & Technical Consulting (20–25%) • Provide pre-sales technical support aligned with sales pursuits and Statements of Work • Conduct customer interviews and technical discovery; develop and deliver solution positioning, proof of concepts, demos, and benchmarks • Assist in closing sales by communicating the value and benefits of PLM and CAD solutions • Participate in customer seminars, technical workshops, trade shows, and user group events Customer Support & Help Desk (10%) • Respond to and troubleshoot customer PLM, CAD, and system issues • Log, track, prioritize, and resolve customer cases, performing follow-ups to ensure timely resolution and satisfaction Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Growth (10%) • Stay current with evolving PLM, CAD, and related technologies; maintain certifications (e.g., Siemens, Dassault) • Identify corrective and preventative actions and contribute to internal process improvements, documentation, and best practices • Mentor customers and internal team members where appropriate WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of hands-on CAD and/or PLM experience, preferably in an Automotive or OEM supplier environment • Experience delivering or supporting enterprise PLM solutions • Experience with PLM/CAD platforms such as Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA, SIMULIA, and Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or Simcenter • Knowledge of CAD data migration, PLM configurations, and OEM design processes and compliance requirements • Familiarity with UNIX and Windows environments and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools • Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills with a collaborative and self-motivated work style • Proven problem-solving abilities, successful project delivery experience, and ability to work independently or in teams • Willingness to travel up to 25% and support both pre-sales and post-sale delivery activities with a strong customer service mindset ONE LAST THING OpenText is more than just a corporation, it's a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned. Salary Range: $94,100 - $141,100; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted. California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
