• Lead the Law Firm Settlements team in efficiently disbursing trust funds to clients, medical providers, and the firm • Identify best practices for settlement processes and coordinate cross-functionally to implement process improvements • Drive, measure, and reward the performance of the settlements team by establishing monthly targets for settlements disbursed and fees collected • Serve as the point of contact for challenging settlement issues that require escalation • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve speed, quality, and consistency of legal work • Partner with IT & Analytics teams to design reporting dashboards and status trackers to provide visibility into settlement team performance and project progress • Operate as a trusted partner to legal leadership, exercising sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, or outcomes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury settlements
  • Proven experience negotiating with medical providers, lienholders, and third parties
  • Strong understanding of lien laws, letters of protection, and health insurance subrogation
  • Experience handling escalations and complex case scenarios
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical/analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and client-centric mindset
  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal
  • Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed
