Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Specialist to support ongoing maintenance of our global ingredient database. This role focuses on accurately entering and updating manufacturer ingredient information to ensure the integrity and reliability of our platform. This is a high-volume, process-driven data entry role where accuracy is critical. A background in nutrition, dietetics, or food service is strongly preferred, as understanding ingredient data and its importance in school nutrition is key to success. - Review manufacturer documentation and extract relevant ingredient data - Independently source and verify ingredient information, including contacting manufacturers to obtain missing or updated documentation - Accurately input and update ingredient information in Health-e Pro’s database - Set up and maintain single ingredient recipes within the system - Review and update global recipes impacted by ingredient changes (e.g., deactivated ingredients or measures, allergen updates, serving size changes) - Manage Jira tickets throughout the workflow, ensuring tasks are tracked, updated, and completed accurately - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all entries - Identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear data and flag for review - Follow defined SOPs and data entry standards - Manage assigned workload efficiently within weekly hour expectations - Maintain clear communication on progress, blockers, and questions Qualifications - Proven experience in data entry, data processing, or database management - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Ability to follow structured processes and repeatable workflows - Strong organizational and time management skills - Comfortable working independently in a remote environment - Proficiency in Google Workspace with the ability to learn and navigate database systems and task management tools (e.g. Jira, Health-e Pro) - Experience working with nutrition labels, ingredient databases or menu systems, preferred - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (required for collaboration with U.S.-based team and external partners) Nice to Haves - Nutrition, food science, or dietetics background or coursework - Prior experience with ingredient, recipe, or menu management software - Familiarity with US food labeling conventions and USDA terminology - Experience in regulated or compliance-driven data entry environments

Reporting to the Executive Director, this leadership role is accountable for building and operating Data Engineering and AI/ML Engineering disciplines that enable enterprise AI/ML delivery at scale. You will lead product‑oriented engineering teams delivering reusable data products, AI platforms, and accelerators used across the enterprise. This is a U.S.-based REMOTE position; candidates must reside within the United States. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data Engineering & Feature Enablement - Build and scale enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and quality frameworks to support AI/ML use cases across IT operations, security, and business functions. - Deliver reusable datasets, feature pipelines, and data products with strong metadata, lineage, privacy, and compliance controls. - Partner with enterprise data, governance, and security teams to align stewardship models, data access patterns, and PHI/PII protections. - Define and maintain data engineering standards, reference architectures, and operational playbooks. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
