Role Description Seeking a Database Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise-scale, cloud-hosted databases, primarily within AWS environments. This role focuses on database administration, performance optimization, data modeling, and operational reliability, ensuring high availability and efficiency for mission-critical systems. Target salary is $130-135k. (Please note this position is funded through March 2026 and most likely will push through June 2026). - Administer and optimize AWS-hosted databases. - Design and maintain efficient, scalable data models. - Monitor and tune database performance. - Troubleshoot data integrity and system issues. - Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise data platforms. Qualifications - Strong experience with AWS RDS and EC2. - Proficiency in database performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, configuration). - Experience in designing and optimizing schemas, tables, indexes, and views. - Ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and database-related issues. - Knowledge of monitoring database performance using metrics and monitoring tools. Requirements - Manage enterprise databases hosted on AWS RDS and EC2. - Support database reliability, scalability, and operational health.
