IT PMO Manager

• Steward the IT Project Management Office to ensure IT work is visible, coordinated, financially controlled, and compliant. • Create delivery clarity and accountability. • Lead and coach IT leaders and contributors so expectations, ownership, and capacity are visible and understood. • Surface and resolve accountability gaps early to prevent delivery slowdowns and friction. • Balance operational support demands with project work to protect team reliability and trust. • Maintain a single, visible view of approved, active, upcoming, and paused IT work. • Manage intake and sequencing based on real team capacity and business priorities. • Provide leadership with clear, consistent updates so decisions are made with facts, not guesswork. • Coordinate delivery and improvement of enterprise applications to support core business processes. • Align application enhancements to documented business needs, improving adoption and reducing manual workarounds. • Administer IT budgets and vendors. • Track IT operating and project spend against approved budgets, explaining variances and trends. • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and performance to maximize value and prevent surprises. • Partner with Finance to support forecasting, planning, and financial transparency. • Maintain governance, risk, and compliance processes that reflect how IT actually operates.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience leading or managing several projects and complex IT delivery functions.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, accountability management, and performance correction.
- Experience coordinating multiple initiatives across shared capacity and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and contracts with financial discipline.
- Working knowledge of IT governance, change management, and audit readiness practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical teams and business leaders.
- Experience with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft planning tools).
- Familiarity with enterprise application environments (e.g., ERP, CRM, business platforms).
- Comfortable operating within structured operating systems (e.g., EOS or similar accountability frameworks).
