Senior Construction Accountant
Nurture Source
Who We Are: At NurtureSource Homes, we transform Bay Area properties through thoughtful design, strategic renovation, and meticulous project execution — all with the goal of maximizing value, enhancing livability, and delivering standout results for sellers, buyers, and real estate partners. Rooted in nearly two decades of experience and a deep understanding of market dynamics, our fully licensed team combines creative vision with operational excellence to simplify renovation and help homes shine in today’s competitive market. We pride ourselves on being more than builders — we’re trusted advisors and collaborative partners who bring structure, clarity, and efficiency to every project. From initial concept through completion, we leverage design-driven solutions, strong communication, and a proprietary project management approach to deliver work that’s both beautiful and strategically sound. The Opportunity: Nurture Source Partners is looking for a Senior Construction Accountant to join their team. While there is a beautiful office in Berkeley, CA, this role can sit anywhere in California. This is a highly critical, high-impact role at the center of their financial operations and project execution infrastructure. This role bridges accounting, operations, and vendor management to ensure the financial and administrative backbone of the business runs smoothly and accurately. As the Senior Construction Accountant you’ll serve as the organization's primary Accounting point-person, managing an in-house Accounting Associate, and liaising with outsourced Accounting partners. You’ll support the Partners of the firm and own critical internal accounting and operational processes, driving efficiency and optimizations throughout the function, and ensuring the company and projects are set up for success. You’ll work closely with the Partners, External Accounting firm, vendors, project managers - internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with Leadership, Project Managers, vendors, and external accounting partners, you will ensure that financial processes—from vendor payments and project billing to payroll coordination and compliance—are executed with precision. Your work will directly support project profitability, vendor accountability, and the company’s ability to scale efficiently. If you enjoy building organized systems, keeping financial operations running smoothly, and supporting fast-moving construction projects, this role is a great fit. Who You Are: You are a highly organized and detail-oriented operator who thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, and project execution. You enjoy creating structure, maintaining accurate systems, and ensuring the financial details behind the scenes are handled correctly all while leading and mentoring your team below you. You are comfortable managing multiple workflows at once—from vendor payments and payroll coordination to project billing and compliance tracking. You are proactive, communicative, and naturally curious when something doesn’t look right. Rather than waiting for issues to surface, you identify risks early and work with stakeholders to resolve them. You are also a collaborative partner who understands how accounting functions support the broader success of construction projects. You communicate effectively with vendors, project managers, leadership, and external accounting partners, bringing professionalism and clarity to every interaction. Above all, you take pride in building reliable systems and processes that allow a fast-moving construction business to operate with confidence and financial discipline.
