Role Description The Sr. Sales Account Executive, Financial Services will lead new business acquisition and account growth across the financial services sector. This role is focused on selling SkyFi’s platform to hedge funds, asset managers, private equity firms, research organizations, commodity traders, and other financial institutions that use alternative data to generate alpha and improve decision-making. This role requires a proven hunter who excels at complex solution selling, understands data and SaaS business models, and can navigate both technical and executive conversations. The ideal candidate understands how geospatial and alternative data can create differentiated value for finance customers and can clearly position SkyFi as the go-to platform for sourcing satellite imagery and analytics from multiple providers. You’ll work closely with SkyFi leadership, marketing, and product teams to accelerate adoption and scale revenue in one of our most strategic growth markets. What You Will Do - Drive new revenue and consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets within the financial services sector. - Build and manage a robust pipeline of financial services accounts across hedge funds, asset managers, private equity firms, trading firms, and research organizations. - Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution mapping, negotiations, and closing. - Position SkyFi’s value proposition clearly with portfolio managers, research analysts, alternative data teams, innovation leaders, and senior executives. - Develop a deep understanding of finance use cases where satellite imagery and analytics can move markets, generate alpha, and improve investment research workflows. - Articulate SkyFi’s advantage as a multi-source platform that simplifies discovery, access, and procurement of imagery and analytics across providers. - Collaborate with partners, integrators, and data ecosystem participants to expand reach and joint opportunities within financial services. - Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management in CRM. - Represent SkyFi at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events relevant to financial services, alternative data, and geospatial intelligence. - Capture market feedback to inform product development, packaging, and go-to-market strategy for the financial sector. Qualifications - 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally with SaaS, alternative data, financial data, geospatial data, satellite imagery, or adjacent industries. - Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. - Strong knowledge of the financial services market, especially how institutional investors and research teams use differentiated data to inform investment decisions. - Experience selling to both technical evaluators and executive decision-makers. - Ability to understand and communicate how satellite imagery, geospatial analytics, and multi-source data access create commercial value for finance customers. - Skilled in MEDDPICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Highly self-motivated and comfortable operating in a high-growth startup environment. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
