POSITION SUMMARY The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, strategic plans, and analytics as they relate to Procurement. Work closely with functional business partners to reduce costs, improve quality, ensure continuity of supply, and manage supplier relationships. Manage supplier business reviews; including developing and tracking improvement plans as needed. Target strategic suppliers for on-going supplier management, risk mitigation, quality improvement and cost savings. Essential Functions: • Provide leadership and management of assigned area of spend for projects including forecasting, strategic sourcing, and procurement. • Responsible for leading sourcing activities across multiple service categories. • Supervise the performance of strategic partners/vendors and manage long term strategy, continuous improvement, of the Managed Service Provider program. • Analyze data and work with internal business partners to identify opportunities, develop strategies, develop and manage RFx’s, and negotiate agreements in the assigned indirect categories. • Perform necessary sourcing events (including drafting, requirements gathering, issuing, and reviewing RFXs, confirming products specifications, completing procurement requirements evaluation, and reviewing the subcontracts for execution with vendors). • Use marketplace benchmarking to assess and understand new opportunities/solutions to be developed, remain up to date on relevant industry trends, understand capabilities of new entrants into the market, and understand category cost drivers & pricing targets. • Ensures the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of vendor contracts, including monitoring all related liabilities and subcontractor agreements. • Ensures approved purchase orders are sent to suppliers, procurements are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements, suppliers are set up in the ERP system and invoices are submitted accurately to Accounts Payable. • Perform purchasing activity of assigned commodities with personal involvement in buying complex items requiring specialized knowledge, experience and negotiating skills. • This position interacts with all levels of management, including senior and executive management from various businesses and suppliers. • Administer Contract Management System and other Procurement systems as needed. • Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Additional Responsibilities: • As determined by supervisor QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS Experience: • 9 + years of purchasing experience, including running RFx events and managing critical projects. • 8 + years of experience with contract negotiations and execution. • 6+ years of contract management system administration experience. • Strong proficiency in all stages of the sourcing life cycle (from market analysis to procure to pay), track record in complex deal structuring, negotiations and contracting. • Strong business acumen for effectively managing costs. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels; ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships. • Contributes to the development of procedures related to supplier management and supplier qualification. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to find and analyze data resulting in a focused drive of procurement actions/initiatives. • Demonstrated experience in a “start-up” environment. • Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred. Certifications and Licenses: POSITION COMPENSATION The salary range for new employees in this position is $92,902.52 - $105,444.36, based on background, experience, and skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday.
