Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Professional experience in Computer Networking and Security
  • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

As a PERSEC Specialist, you will work independently and interdependently within the PERSEC Teams to initiate clearance actions, periodic reinvestigations, crossovers; conducting clearance checks, review and process Security Pre-Screen checks, Visit Authorization Requests, CAC’s, fingerprint processing, answering questions received from applicants, employees, customers, and other duties as assigned. Roles and Responsibilities: - Initiate security background investigations and processing for different security clearance types/levels (T3, T3R; T5, T5Rs) utilizing DISS, NBIS, and using the Fillable SF86 version for certain Agencies - Initiate processing actions for positions requiring Suitability requirements (National Agency Check (NAC), Tier 1; Background Investigation (BI), Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI), High Risk Background Investigation, Moderate Risk Positions of Trust (MRPTs), Position of Public Trust.
