• The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and executing product development specializing in outdoor categories (shooting accessories, feeders, hearing protection, hunting accessories, etc.) while maintaining schedules and creating relationships with overseas factories. • Collaborate with internal customers to gain a clear understanding of product requirements, goals, and timelines, ensuring alignment with our commitment to quality products in the cutlery and archery categories. • Manage the project team, consisting of engineers, sales, support, and factories, overseeing the entire product life cycle, from initial concepts to full production • Ensure all project team members have the necessary information and resources to carry out tasks effectively • Utilize your knowledge of product design to balance technical and practical requirements, particularly in the realm of shooting accessory, feeder, hearing protection, and hunting accessory product development • Mindfulness of outdoor industry trends to lead and innovate product development • Develop and execute timelines, working closely with engineering departments to coordinate schedules and meet project goals • Prepare and manage budgets in collaboration with senior management, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints • Communicate effectively with senior management, the project team, and factories on project-related issues, including risks, costs, and schedule challenges • Coordinate schedules with other Project Managers, Engineering and Brand Management departments to maintain overall project alignment • Enter and maintain project-related information in tools such as Monday.com • Continuously improve the process of delivering cutlery/archery broadhead projects that meet high standards of quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness • Organize documentation and maintain file structure to facilitate efficient project management • Lead and mentor other PM's to improve their skills and training with continuous improvement • Undertake other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Project Manager
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the cutlery industry
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Production Management, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
- 5+ years of experience handling multiple projects simultaneously each 6+ months in duration
- 5+ years of overseas communication and negotiation
- In-depth understanding of the outdoor and hunting product development process, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects
- Strong knowledge, experience, and understanding of different types of steels, feeders, shooting accessories, hunting accessories, etc.
- High organizational skills, managing the intricacies of multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong negotiation skills to find solutions that meet project expectations
- Proficiency in utilizing computer applications, including e-mail, MS Office, and project management tools like Monday.com
- Hands-on experience with the design and production processes related to outdoor, hunting and shooting accessories
- Team management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

About the Position Murmuration is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager for its Campaigns team. Murmuration’s Campaigns Team helps partners design and execute smarter strategies from the ground up — powered by the best civic data and tools in the country.
