Communications and Marketing Specialist

• Support media relations and press activities, including press release distribution, media tracking, and coordination of follow-up and interview logistics. • Manage social media scheduling, monitoring, and engagement while identifying opportunities to amplify content and respond to audience interactions. • Format, publish, and maintain blog and website content, ensuring quality, accuracy, accessibility, and on-time delivery. • Coordinate internal communications through Slack, email, and all-staff updates, and supporting internal campaigns and message distribution. • Maintain editorial calendars, templates, workflows, and trackers to ensure alignment, visibility, and timely execution across communications and marketing initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, digital content publishing, social media management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple deadlines, workflows, approvals, and publishing timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience supporting communications execution across one or more of the following areas: media relations, social media, digital publishing, or internal communications.
  • Strong computer skills with cloud-based systems and collaboration tools, especially Google Workspace applications, Asana, Slack, Zoom, and related tools used to support communications and marketing workflows.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, relationship-building, collaborative environment.
  • Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the USA.
