Section 508 Tester – Accessibility Tester
Leidos
• Support accessibility compliance efforts by evaluating applications and systems to ensure adherence to Section 508 standards and accessibility guidelines. • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand, gather, and document business requirements. • Design, configure, and build Pega applications, including case management, workflows, user interfaces, and business logic using Pega tools (App Studio, Dev Studio). • Implement integration points with databases, web services (REST/SOAP), and legacy systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. • Perform unit and integration testing, debug applications, and support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance requirements. • Create and maintain documentation of application design, configurations, and system changes. • Ensure all work adheres to Pega development best practices and guardrails, and actively participate in team meetings and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (~4-6 relevant applicable working experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience in accessibility testing or QA.
- Performing accessibility testing of applications using automated and manual tools
- Identifying and documenting accessibility issues based on Section 508 and WCAG standards
- Supporting remediation efforts by working with development teams
- Validating fixes and ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements
- Preparing accessibility compliance reports and documentation
- Collaboration with QA and development teams to integrate accessibility into testing processes
- Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards
- Experience with Accessibility testing tools (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, Axe, Wave)
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and UI components
