The role We’re seeking a Modular Reactor Process Lead to join our Advanced Nuclear Technologies team, working in a fast‑moving, innovation‑led environment with real national impact. You’ll help shape the next generation of nuclear power through cutting‑edge design, accelerated deployment and projects that strengthen the UK’s long‑term energy resilience. The role is full time, working 37 hours per week, and can be undertaken remotely with occasional travel to Cavendish Nuclear and customer sites in the north‑west of England. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to: - Leading and coordinating multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to deliver agreed scope safely, efficiently, and on schedule - Overseeing and assuring process engineering activities to ensure technical rigour, quality, and regulatory compliance - Producing, reviewing, and approving engineering outputs including calculations, analyses, specifications, and technical reports - Managing technical interfaces with customers and internal stakeholders, building trusted and effective working relationships - Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental responsibility, and ethical behaviour across all engineering activity Essential experience of the Modular Reactor Process Lead: - Demonstrable experience leading process engineering assurance within complex engineering programmes - Proven knowledge and experience relating to modular reactor technologies - Background working in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, defence, or energy - Experience supervising engineers or technical specialists - Confidence engaging directly with clients and external stakeholders Qualifications for the Modular Reactor Process Lead: - Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline - Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership would be advantageous Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
