• Lead and develop a team of compensation program managers, fostering a high-performing culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of global compensation programs, including annual cycles (merit, bonus, equity) and the design of new initiatives that support business and talent priorities • Define and evolve HubSpot’s compensation infrastructure, including job architecture, leveling frameworks, and market-aligned cash and equity structures that scale with organisational growth • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Payroll, People Operations, and People Technology to deliver seamless, compliant, and efficient compensation programs and systems • Drive optimisation of compensation tools, workflows, and data infrastructure, enabling scalable processes, strong governance, and high-quality decision-making • Lead reporting and analytics capabilities that provide actionable insights, track program effectiveness, and inform executive-level decisions • Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex compensation matters, guiding senior stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations • Establish and maintain scalable processes, documentation, and playbooks to ensure consistent, equitable, and transparent compensation practices across the organisation • Lead communication and change management strategies for major compensation initiatives, ensuring clarity, alignment, and adoption across stakeholders
Job Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive compensation experience in public companies, including people management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop compensation professionals, with a player-coach mentality
- Deep expertise in compensation best practices, program design, and market benchmarking
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional compensation initiatives at scale
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior and C-suite leaders
- Advanced analytical skills and proficiency with Workday and Google Sheets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.
