Join us in building Payments for the Next Billion. šŸ™Œ Your Mission Build and lead a best-in-class AML/CFT compliance framework for Belgium, ensuring regulatory excellence while enabling safe, scalable growth in international remittances. šŸŽÆ Your Responsibilities in this Role - Own and evolve NALA’s AML/CFT framework in Belgium, ensuring full compliance with local law, EU directives, and NBB expectations - Lead end-to-end suspicious activity investigations and act as the nominated officer for CTIF-CFI reporting - Deliver and maintain the Overall Risk Assessment (ORA), covering customer, product, and corridor-level financial crime risks - Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and law enforcement, managing audits, inspections, and ongoing relationships - Design and monitor internal controls and KPIs/KRIs to ensure ongoing effectiveness of the compliance program - Provide strategic advisory to leadership on new products, market expansion, and risk appetite decisions šŸ”„ Must-have requirements - Experience operating as MLRO or equivalent senior compliance role in a regulated environment - 7+ years of AML/CFT experience within a Payment Institution or Electronic Money Institution - Deep knowledge of Belgian AML regulations, NBB expectations, and EU AML directives - Proven track record managing SAR/STR reporting and regulatory interactions - Strong experience conducting complex financial crime investigations (e.g. layering, smurfing, cross-border schemes) - Professional fluency in English and either French or Dutch - Meets ā€œFit and Properā€ requirements for senior compliance roles with the NBB šŸ’Ŗ Nice to have requirements - Previous experience in a high-growth fintech or remittance business - Experience working with transaction monitoring systems and regtech tools - LLM or legal/compliance academic background āœ… Success in the role looks like 3-Month Metrics - Fully onboarded as the nominated AML officer with regulators and established key regulatory relationships - Completed review of existing AML/CFT framework with clear action plan for gaps and improvements 6-Month Metrics - Delivered an updated ORA and implemented enhancements to controls, monitoring, and reporting - Established scalable, data-driven compliance processes supporting growth without increased regulatory risk ā­ļøĀ Benefits - 35 Days Off including your local bank holidays: Take the time to decompress. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Clinical Applications Specialist position is responsible for training customers (Surgeons and Staff) on the approved utilization of Alcon products to ensure safe and appropriate use for optimal patient outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - - Provide technical and clinical training, education and ongoing clinical support to train surgeons and Operating Room (OR) staff on the approved use and application of Alcon’s Cataract and Refractive Surgical Device products. - Provide on-site and/or remote clinical application support to customers by providing scientific and technical information in response to inquiries regarding approved use of Alcon medical devices. - Ensure successful implementation of all equipment and software upgrades at clinical sites for all relevant devices. - Provide clear and accurate documentation of each site visit via a standardized reporting mechanism (CRM Tool) within 48 hours of completion of the visit. - Identify and report all adverse events and device deficiencies to Medical Safety per company protocol. - Refer inquiries related to unapproved uses of technologies. - Address reports of Adverse Events requiring root cause analysis and requests for feedback/input from physicians as requested by Clinical Applications management in cooperation with Medical Safety, as appropriate. - Collaborate as appropriate with Field Service Engineers to support clinical sites on new installations, site support and trouble shooting. - Collaborate as appropriate with the Field Service team and Sales Reps to ensure clinical training is scheduled for new installations and needs for ongoing surgical support. - Provide constant feedback to R&D via approved communication plan on clinical performance of products. - Respond to unsolicited requests for information related to Alcon medical devices, per SOPs and Ethics and Compliance Guidelines. - Attend and support Medical Congresses, fellowships, conferences, exhibits, seminars, and wet-labs as requested by Clinical Applications management. - Assist with convention demonstrations as deemed appropriate by management per SOPs. - Achieve clinical certifications to meet requirements and scope of responsibilities. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: - Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Optometry is an advantage. - Minimum: 3 years of related experience or equivalent years of relevant experience. - The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English and Malay. - Strong background in clinical ophthalmology and enthusiasm to learn. - Positive and pro-active attitude. - General understanding of Ophthalmology surgical techniques, anatomy and optics. - Opportunity for domestic and international travel, with approximately 60% travel required.
