Position Summary We are seeking a Project Manager (10+ years of experience) with a strong foundation in both GIS and surveying to support the delivery of complex geospatial and infrastructure projects across Canada and North America. This role is focused on hands-on project execution and coordination, requiring a deep understanding of geospatial data workflows and integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and tracking project activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams (field, processing, GIS, and client stakeholders), ensuring QA/QC standards are met, and delivering high-quality, GIS-ready outputs. Strong experience with data transformation and automation tools such as FME is highly desirable to support scalable and efficient workflows. In this role, you will... Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Survey and GIS teams to assess client requirements, scope projects, and create detailed proposals. • Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client goals. • Oversee project execution, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards. • Provide technical guidance on GIS tools and Trimble survey workflows. • Manage project budgets, schedules, and milestones, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. • Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, maintaining transparency and alignment. • Conduct regular project reviews, update stakeholders, and implement risk mitigation strategies. • Support the integration of GIS solutions into existing workflows, customizing them as needed. The Project Developer is responsible for consultative support of Design-Build Turnkey work across cold room contracting and walk-in refrigeration projects. This position requires mastery of acquisition, technical aptitude, and project management skills. What you will do: · Develop refrigeration systems and solutions — with a primary emphasis on contracting cold rooms, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and specialty controlled-temperature enclosures — using FARRAR equipment and controls alongside other leading refrigeration systems; responsibilities include project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and system validation. · Lead the development of cold room and walk-in refrigeration contracting proposals, including panel system selection (insulated metal panels, floor systems, door hardware), refrigeration equipment specifications, and MEP coordination required for turnkey delivery. · Support Sales Associates in developing and establishing project installation budgets for cold room and walk-in refrigeration contracts, preparing scope summaries and guiding the engineering team on customer requirements. · Provide key technical support to pursue Life Science contracting business, including participation in strategic job acquisition teams for cold room contracting opportunities in pharmaceutical, life sciences, food & beverage, and industrial markets. · Manage the design process for cold room and walk-in refrigeration projects — from conceptual site plans and preliminary engineering documents through construction documents — ensuring designs meet applicable building codes, FDA/GMP compliance standards, and client specifications. · Evaluate and select refrigeration systems appropriate for cold room contracting applications, including single-stage and cascade refrigeration, CO₂ and low-GWP refrigerant systems, self-contained walk-in units, and remote condensing systems. · Coordinate with subcontractors, including panel installers, mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, and controls integrators, to develop complete cold room and walk-in refrigeration contracting packages. · Continually validate the effectiveness of the Design-Build Turnkey process for cold room and walk-in applications; identify and develop process improvements to increase competitiveness and project delivery efficiency. · Responsible for securing customers from Solutions Development through project transition to Fulfillment across cold room contracting and walk-in refrigeration project types. · Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction. · Some travel is required, and other duties as assigned. What you will bring: · Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent field experience in cold room contracting or walk-in refrigeration installation. · Demonstrated experience with cold room and walk-in refrigeration contracting, including knowledge of insulated panel systems, refrigeration equipment selection, door hardware, flooring systems, and cold room construction sequencing. · Ability to audit existing refrigeration and control systems — including walk-in cooler/freezer systems — and recommend solutions to improve performance, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance. · Understanding of construction methods and practices specific to cold room and walk-in refrigeration installations, including coordination of panel fabricators, refrigeration contractors, and general contractors; ability to communicate with and direct subcontractors to obtain critical proposal information. · General knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical refrigeration systems, and the building construction industry, with specific familiarity with walk-in refrigeration system configurations (self-contained, remote, split systems) and cold room construction standards. · Familiarity with refrigerant regulations, including EPA SNAP, CARB compliance, A2L refrigerants, and low-GWP alternatives relevant to walk-in and cold room applications. · Project Management experience required; PMP or equivalent certification a plus. · Ability to develop and write refrigeration system-level sequence of operations and control requirements for cold room environments — including temperature mapping, alarming, and monitoring systems — is a strong benefit. · Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD, and/or other design software relevant to cold room and walk-in layout design; knowledge of computerized energy simulation tools a plus. · Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
