Reporting directly to the Purchasing Supervisor, you as a Buyer will be responsible for supporting supply chain operations by managing daily purchasing activities, ensuring material availability, and maintaining accurate procurement records. You will play a key role in executing purchasing strategies, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, manage purchase orders, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes. You will work cross-functionally with planning, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and efficiency across the supply chain. About the Job: - Create and track purchase orders based on MRP analysis - Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials - Follow up on shortages and provide updates to internal stakeholders - Expedite materials as required to avoid production disruptions - Maintain accurate procurement documentation and master data (PPV approvals) - Support supplier sourcing activities, including RFQs for production materials - Monitor inventory levels and freight cost KPIs - Manage past due purchase orders and resolve discrepancies - Push back on supplier MOQs impacting inventory levels - Coordinate with 3PL and warehouse teams for material receipt and transfers - Support resolution of invoice and pricing discrepancies - Escalate supply constraints and propose alternative solutions - Location: Matehuala, San Luis Potosí (Remote within Mexico. - About You: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education. - Experience in purchasing, planning, and/or inventory control. - Knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred) - Strong data analysis and Excel skills. - Fluent English (required) - Proactive communication and strong follow-up skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with different organizational levels. Position Summary We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our Indirect Procurement team as an individual contributor focused on managing addressable spend through strategic procurement processes, including spend analysis, cost modeling, managing competitive bidding events, and negotiations across various indirect spend categories to ensure Avid’s financial and operational interests are managed for. This role is primarily responsible for the end-to-end management of procuring deals, from market analysis and negotiation to contract facilitation and purchase order approval.
