Position Summary We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our Indirect Procurement team as an individual contributor focused on managing addressable spend through strategic procurement processes, including spend analysis, cost modeling, managing competitive bidding events, and negotiations across various indirect spend categories to ensure Avid’s financial and operational interests are managed for. This role is primarily responsible for the end-to-end management of procuring deals, from market analysis and negotiation to contract facilitation and purchase order approval. The Procurement Analyst will be entrusted with managing complex stakeholder relationships and will be held accountable for delivering quantifiable value and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Spend Management: - Manage full lifecycle for assigned addressable indirect spend categories and / or projects, developing and executing category strategies as needed - Conduct and lead competitive sourcing events – e.g. RFXs – including scoping, bidder management, requirement gathering, and proposal analysis and recommendation - Lead commercial negotiations with vendors to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and service levels - Collaborate with internal stakeholders – e.g. Finance, Information Security, Legal, etc. – to facilitate operational risk reviews and contract execution - Identify, track, and report on savings and value-add opportunities generated through strategic procurement activities - Approve purchase orders (POs) in NetSuite or a comparable system, ensuring all purchases align with negotiated agreements, policies, and processes Strategic Projects & Process Improvement: - Undertake stretch assignments to ideate and lead strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing and transforming existing procurement processes - Conduct market research and analysis to identify new trends, solutions, and best practices that can inform procurement strategy - Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into a clear procurement strategy Accountability, Collaboration, and Reporting: - Take ownership of performance goals and deliver on key metrics related to spend under management, savings, and project completion - Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as Finance, IT, Legal, and senior leadership to manage shared interests / workflows and ensure alignment on procurement strategy - Develop and present planned or ad hoc reports on procurement initiatives, spend trends, and project status Qualifications: Education: A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Supply Chain) from an accredited university is desired Experience, Characteristics, and Skills: - High degree of accountability and a proactive, self-starting attitude - Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of driving strong commercial outcomes - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with the ability to articulate complex procurement concepts simply - Independent ability to build and manage professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrable experience in financial modeling and opportunity cost analysis - Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, with at least three (3) years of focused experience in purchasing / procurement / sourcing - Proven success in managing end-to-end competitive bidding processes across multiple spend categories - Demonstrable expertise with data configuration and analysis, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills – e.g. leveraging formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in addition to demonstrable expertise using NetSuite or a comparably mature ERP system – e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc. for procurement purposes If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
